Goal: Demand that the children who kicked a puppy into the air, causing fatal injuries, receive the maximum penalty possible by law.

A puppy suffered fatal injuries after she was brutally kicked into the air like a football. The children responsible are still at large. Demand justice for this innocent puppy.

“What makes this barbaric crime even more abhorrent is that, apparently, there were adults standing around watching,” stated Stephen Heaven, President/CEO of the Toledo Area Humane Society. The six unidentified children, described as 10-12 years old, fled the scene after they kicked the 3-pound puppy into the air like a football. A good Samaritan rescued the seriously injured miniature pinscher and brought her to the Humane Society for treatment. The puppy sustained a broken back and broken ribs. She later died due to fluid filling her lungs.

Officers are investigating, but they have not identified any suspects. A reward has been offered for any information leading to the prosecution of those responsible. Sign below and demand that these children are prosecuted for this cruelty and that they receive the maximum penalty possible by law.

Dear Prosecutor Bates,

A puppy was kicked to death in a horrific case of animal cruelty. The 3-pound dog suffered fatal injuries when a group of 10-12-year-old children kicked her into the air. We demand justice for this innocent puppy.

Several adults merely looked on as five to six children punted a miniature pinscher puppy into the air like a football. They then fled the scene, leaving a good Samaritan to rescue the seriously injured puppy. A thorough examination, conducted at the Toledo Area Humane Society, showed that the puppy suffered a broken back and broken ribs in the assault. Fluid then filled her lungs, leading to her death. The children responsible for this cruelty have not yet been identified. The Humane Society has offered a $15,000 reward for anyone who can provide information leading to their prosecution.

These children are a danger to animals and they must be punished. We demand that you prosecute those responsible for this puppy’s death and seek the maximum penalty possible.
