Goal: Find whomever is responsible for setting off fireworks that were found strapped to a cat’s back.
A cat was discovered with two ignited firework rockets strapped to his or her back in Derbyshire, U.K. While he or she was still alive moments after the explosion occurred, the person who found the cat said that all the fur was missing and that a leg had been violently ripped off. Tragically, this cat died before emergency vets could arrive on the scene. The vile sadists responsible are not known at this time, and we must demand justice for this innocent cat.
The woman who reported the incident to local police said she feared that it was related to local Bonfire Night events taking place at the time, and she urged other pet owners to keep their animals indoors as a result. Unfortunately, this is not the first time an animal has suffered animal abuse in the area. Earlier this year, an elderly cat was kicked and tortured by a group of youths less than a half a mile away from where this event occurred.
While it is not known if there is link between this horrific discovery and other reports of abuse, more must be done to ensure that the perpetrator of this sickening act be found. Sign this petition to demand that local police use all available resources to find and punish whomever is responsible.

A cat was recently found in Alvaston with two rockets strapped to his or her back. According to the man who discovered the cat, it appeared that the rockets had exploded and had severely mutilated the animal. This innocent cat died moments later and we demand justice for this sickening case of animal abuse.
Sadly, this is not the first time a cat has been tortured in the Alvaston area, as shown in the case earlier this year when local youths callously beat a 19-year-old family pet. While it is not known if these incidents are connected, I urge you utilize all necessary resources to find whoever is responsible to prevent future acts of abuse and violence against animals.

I’m speechless! How could ANYONE be so cruel to an innocent animal?? The bloody CRETIN who did this MUST BE FOUND AND MUST BE PUNISHED SEVERELY! Come on, law enforcement, do your job before any more animals are injured or killed!!!!!!!!
I’ll bet the Derbyshire Constabulary has a good idea who’s behind these horrible attacks and tortures. Find and prosecute these maniacs. It’s not “just a cat” – it’s a living creature able to feel terror and pain. Take the into consideration.
It’s also not a case of kids will be kids, either. This is, or these are, serial killer(s) in the making. Serial killers usually start with cats. Do your homework. And your job.

This poor cat as well as the other cat who also this year suffered to it’s death and as I write this to you, I cannot even see as my eyes are filled tears of pain. I have a beautiful indoor cat and every single day, I worship him. I treat him as if he were my own biological son and he is so smart and loves to hear me say to him I Love You and loves when I give him gentle kisses everyday. Every day, I sign petitions like this one as well as I even started my own about a horrific situation where a millionaire man did not want to pay the vet bill for a cat so he left the cat in the cat cage and drown it alive. I started the petition and every day I beg people to sign it and to put it out on their social medias as I want this person to rot in jail for the maximum time allotted upon his sentence and think every day why he is in prison and for every thought and dream he has is the haunting of what he did to the cat named Bonnie. I also have done anything I possible could to stop the Yulin dog and cat festival over in China. Kat, I always tell people the same thing as you wrote. They are living creatures who feel terror and pain. They also breathe and eat like humans do so anytime I see an outdoor cat by my home, I always give them cat food or tuna as well as fresh cool water to drink. I also talk to them in a gentile voice and they do all respond to that. I am just a person who has strong love and compassion for all dogs and cats. Situations like this and many others keep me up at night as well as cry for what happened to them. I have been in my industry for 24 years now and if I could of done it all over again for my career, I would go to all schooling and get certified to with the ASPCA. I am a great believer in “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”. When this/these low lives are found, do please strap a couple of rockets to them and set them alight. Maybe they won’t do it again…
It is heartbreaking to hear of this horrific treatment of this innocent animal. Whoever did this is extremely disturbed and needs to be punished to the full extent of the law! We can no longer turn away from the serious issues of animal torture and abuse!

This is the problem with the world. Uneducated, evil, sick minded morons thinking they are so smart by abusing defenceless animals. Not got the guts to fight or abuse the same kind of scum as themselves. They are absolute cowards. The laws on animal abuse needs to be much more severe. Long prison sentences or better still bring back the birch and give the evil bastards a taste of their own medicine. Hope there are some decent vigilantes that find them soon and then maybe justice will be done.
Crimes of this nature are on the rise. Law enforcement and the courts would do well to pursue and prosecute much more vigorously, because psychopaths train on helpless animals; they never stop and they seek increasingly bigger thrills. How I wish that the law had an “eye-for-an-eye” provision for crimes like this.

Actually, it’s really unfair for the animals. Just because they do not speak the same language as humans and cannot voice themselves, humans treat them like shit. This unfair situation can be seen clearly through the laws:
1) Human is sentenced to death or jalied for his whole life IF HE/SHE MURDERED ANOTHER HUMAN. (HUMAN=lIFE)
2) Human is jailed for months/years for abusing /killing animals. (ANIMAL=LIFE)
