Justice for Puppy Thrown Into Burning Fire Pit

Target: Scott Kolody, Commanding Officer of the Manitoba RCMP

Goal: Find and punish children accused of throwing a dog into a fire.

Police are looking for the people responsible for throwing a dog into a fire pit, causing severe burns. According to Katie Powell, founder of Save a Dog Network Canada, a group of children took the dog, an 8-month-old puppy named Polo, and threw him into a fire pit in Red Sucker Lake First Nation, Manitoba. She went on to say that Polo “came home with smoke bubbling from his nose. He had second degree burns on anything that wasn’t covered in fur.”

The poor dog had patches of fur missing as well as some blisters. Some of the dog’s fur melted into his skin, causing lesions. His nose, paws, mouth, and other areas were raw and severely damaged, and his eyes were left with ulcers from smoke damage. Investigators say that the pup’s fur saved his life — if he had a shorter coat, he would have died.

Fortunately, he survived the ordeal and is now recovering at the Tuxedo Animal Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. RCMP are currently investigating, but have not made any arrests. Rights group PETA is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who comes forward with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible.

This act was blatantly cruel and could have resulted in the death of this innocent animal. Because of this cruelty, Polo will suffer for a long time, and may have lifelong disabilities. Sign the petition below to demand that the people responsible for this horrendous act are punished to the fullest extent of the law.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Kolody,

A dog was recently thrown into a fire pit, allegedly by a group of children. The dog suffered severe burns to his entire body, particularly his eyes, nose, mouth, paws, and testicles. Investigators say that he would have died if he had a short coat — his fur protected him from a lot of damage but also melted into his skin, causing lesions.

This horrendous act caused extreme suffering to an innocent animal, and could even result in disability or chronic pain for the rest of Polo’s life. We, the undersigned, ask that you work hard to find and punish the people responsible for this heartless act of cruelty.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

These sleazy piece of garbage so-called “children” need to stop being bred, allowed to live, and most of all stop being given priority of life over the other, more worthy in every conceivable way, sentient beings that inhabit this planet. This welfare-encouraged filth needs to be punished and discouraged from existing, instead of rewarded. Animals deserve better. Not one penny of any aid of any sort should ever go to any human research or aid. There are already 8 billion too many humans polluting the planet, and far too few animals and green spaces. Get your priorities straight.

  2. These children should be taken from their parents and punished as harshly as possible. They need to suffer like this poor defenseless pup. I work in Animal Rescue and it is hard to believe there are so many monsters living among us. I see it every day and I’ll never understand. How could so many humans have no compassion, love, or sympathy in their souls. I think they should not be allowed to reproduce MORE MONSTERS!!!

  3. of it would be one of my kids I’d whip it so damn hard it wouldn’t be able so sit for a week

  4. How do they know it was a group of children if no one was around? And this dog found it’s way home after…so what were the owners doing letting an 8 month old dog just wander around free for these supposed devil children to throw it into a fire? Sounds like they need to give this dog a better home with more responsible owners! Horrendous!

Because the kids were probably SEEN doing it, but nobody will say who it was, or the police, as usual, just don’t follow up on such cruelty when the perpetrators are “children”… But don’t for a minute think that children wouldn’t do this, because some kids are positively evil. BTW, the owners could be the parents of one of these monsters, because most parents have no idea how cruel their little darlings can be!

  5. The more helpless the victim, the more heinous the crime.

  6. Christine Tomelden says:

These kids should be punished to the full extent of the law, regardless.

Taught a lesson they will never forget….

Sometimes this cases when this kids grow as an adult to tend to commit murder or a crime….

I think some people even children must be born without a soul. It’s hard to believe children can be so heartless and cruel. I’m just glad this poor dog survived, and hope and pray he finds a home that will give him the love he deserves. I hope these children get arrested for animal cruelty.

  8. Some humans make me sick.the things they do to poor defenceless animals. human’s are the horrible ones. I could say more but I’m so angry over this. And I really hope they get there justice. I would hang the barstewards and that been polite ?❤?

  9. please find and shoot these little spineless fucks!!

  10. Toss these sick useless demons into an adult prison! These sick depraved brats need to be punished! And I am saying that lightly. Little inbred monsters and I am sure their scumbag parents r no better! This is wrong, depraved and do NOT tell me because they’re children they should get a slap on the wrist!!!!! They shld get a hell of a lot more than that! And I’m being SO politically correct. Use your imagination……

  11. Charity begins at home…IF PARENTS TAUGHT THEIR CHILDREN TO BE KIND TO ALL ANIMALS…especially dogs/cats this won’t happen…find these children and fine them…put them in jail…PRODUCTS OF DEMONS…WHO TO SAY THEY WON’T DO THIS AGAIN OR TO ANOTHER CHILD.

  12. After signing one horrible crime towards animals after another,im at a lose for words. My mind cant absorb such an evil act.i find absolutely nothing wrong for the same act on whoever is responsible for the same should be done to them…its justified.

  13. Bastards! Throw them and their parents in a fire pit and see how they like it. Better still sterilise the lot of them so that evil can’t breed more evil.

  14. After these jerks are found, put them in a hot hot hot jail for a long long time. Make them give money to help animal protections. Demand no contact at all ever again with any animal.

  15. Rose Coffey says:

Well, children huh? What kind of “children” could have minds like that? There are parents out there who, if they had these “little darlings” would make sure they got the punishment they deserve even before the law catches up with them. Hope these “kids” have those type of parents.

  16. Patricia Dumais says:

The Red Sucker Lake first nation elders need to be involved. The children must be made to understand that what they did is also totally unacceptable by their own people.

  17. I signed…
If the children were involved … they and the parents need to pay the consequences.. period !
I don’t care how old they are.. they did it.. I don’t mean to be mean… but these children need to know how it feels to be burn.. out there hand over the fire!!!!!

  18. Elizabeth McCreery says:

This sick twisted bastards need to be caught then burn them at the stake see how they like flames creeping over their nasty bodies
I pray the puppy will find new and forever loving new home bless it

  19. LIZ THOMPSON says:

THERS JUST NO LACK OF EVIL SUB-HUMANS OUT THERE THAT ABUSE AND MAIM INNOCENT CREATURES! THEY SHOULD BURN IN HELL!!!!

  20. These evil savages should be removed (in any way) from society now. One can only imagine what more they are capable of doing or what they’ve already done.
