Justice for Dog Allegedly Shot in Head From Second-story Window

Target: Michael W. Morrissey, Norfolk County, MA District Attorney

Goal: Ensure full prosecution after a family dog was allegedly shot in the head and killed during an illegal hunting attempt.

A deeply disturbing case has emerged involving the alleged shooting death of a family dog. According to reports from investigators, a man fired a gun from a second-story window while attempting to hunt coyotes. Authorities report that during this incident, a 14-year-old pet dog was shot in the head and killed in a driveway.

Investigators say the incident was captured on a home security camera system. Authorities further report that after the dog was shot, the animal was placed in a vehicle and transported out of state for burial. Officials also allege that the individual involved may have been hunting without a valid license and outside the legal hunting season. Reports also indicate that bait may have been placed to lure animals, which is illegal.

If the evidence substantiates these allegations, decisive prosecution is necessary to ensure that animals are protected and that alleged unlawful hunting practices are addressed under the law.

PETITION LETTER:

DA Morrissey,

We write to express grave concern regarding reports that a family dog was shot in the head during a hunting attempt from a second-story window. Investigators report that the incident resulted in the death of a 14-year-old pet dog in a residential driveway.

Authorities also report that the shooting may have occurred while the individual lacked a valid hunting license and outside the legal hunting season. Reports further indicate that bait may have been placed in an attempt to lure animals for hunting.

We respectfully urge your office to pursue full prosecution to the fullest extent permitted by law should the evidence substantiate these allegations. Strong enforcement is essential to ensure that animals are protected and that violations of hunting and animal protection laws are addressed with appropriate legal consequences.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
