Target: Chief Jim McDonnell, LAPD
Goal: Intensify investigation and prosecution after pets were allegedly shot, dismembered and abandoned in trash bags.
Animal advocates have raised alarm after disturbing discoveries involving companion animals mutilated and abandoned in residential areas. Volunteers working with a rescue organization described scenes in which animal remains were discovered inside garbage bags along neighborhood streets. Some findings included dog limbs left discarded in bags.
According to rescue workers, a cat was shot with a BB gun, and advocates have observed signs suggesting other animals were targeted with pellet guns. These discoveries have fueled concern among local rescuers that companion animals in the area may be facing escalating danger. Advocates have called for stronger enforcement of existing animal protection laws.
Whoever is perpetrating these heinous acts of cruelty must be found and brought to justice. Sign below to demand justice.
