Dozens of Dogs Allegedly Starved and Killed at Breeding Ranch: Take Strict Action

Target: Will Ramsay, Hopkins County, TX District Attorney

Goal: Pursue maximum criminal penalties and a permanent breeding ban after dogs were allegedly abused, starved and killed at a large-scale breeding operation.

Federal and local authorities have reported a deeply disturbing animal cruelty investigation following a raid on a breeding facility where dogs were allegedly kept in horrific conditions. According to rescue groups and investigators, more than 100 dogs were found living in squalor, many emaciated and in critical condition, with evidence suggesting prolonged neglect and repeated killing of animals on the property.

As reported, photographs and videos provided by a former employee showed skeletal remains of dogs, collars attached to skulls, and animals living among filth. One video seemingly depicts a German Shepherd being tied to a tree and shot multiple times. Authorities deemed the remaining dogs unsafe to stay on the property, prompting a coordinated rescue involving federal agents and multiple animal welfare organizations. Dozens of dogs were removed and transferred to shelters for emergency care and rehabilitation.

When breeding operations devolve into sites of extreme cruelty, decisive legal action is essential. Weak or delayed charges risk enabling continued abuse and loss of life. This petition calls for the strongest prosecution available, seizure and permanent forfeiture of all animals, and a lifetime ban on breeding or animal ownership for those allegedly responsible.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear DA Ramsay,

We are writing to express grave concern over reports that a large-scale breeding operation subjected dogs to extreme neglect, abuse and killing. As reported by rescuers and investigators, numerous dogs were found emaciated, living in filth, and surrounded by evidence of deceased animals.

The alleged documentation, including photos and video from a former employee, describes conduct that goes far beyond negligence and suggests prolonged, intentional cruelty. Authorities intervened only after a whistleblower came forward, underscoring the need for strong accountability and deterrence.

We respectfully urge your office to pursue this case to the fullest extent of Texas law. Please seek maximum criminal penalties, permanent forfeiture of animals, and lifetime prohibitions on breeding and animal ownership so that acts of cruelty are met with justice and prevented from ever recurring.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
