Find Perpetrators Who Tied Abandoned Dog to Pole on Christmas Eve

Target: Dan Pistor, Chief of Sunnyvale, CA Department of Public Safety

Goal: Explore all possible crimes associated with abandonment of dog near Google office.

An abandoned dog received a Christmas Eve miracle. Concerned individuals first noticed the mutt, a white pit bull, as they passed a Google office in California’s bay area. Someone had tied the dog to a light pole. A Reddit thread was soon filled with posts about the pooch, who was described as very skinny and in “rough shape.”

Eventually, a good Samaritan who managed a local club about dogs saw the posts. She retrieved the abandoned dog – who was named Google — and got him food and care.  The rescuer also speculated the dog could potentially have been the victim of a fighting ring. The police have been contacted and are working with the rescuer to rehome Google.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Chief Pistor,

Instead of good tidings and holiday wishes, a Reddit Christmas Eve thread originating from the bay area instead became filled with shock and concern after a seemingly malnourished pit bull was spotted — tied to a pole located outside a Google office — by several passersby. It is a relief to hear that the animal in the case is being cared for and hopefully rehomed. But the dire circumstances this animal endured should not be ignored, especially given the good Samaritan rescuer’s theory that dogfighting could have been involved.

Please pursue any and all leads in this case and do everything in our power to identify and hold accountable the person or people responsible for, at the least, animal abandonment. Send a decisive message about abuse and cruelty directed towards innocent living beings.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
