Video Allegedly Shows Dog Sexual Abuse: Demand Lifetime Ban

Target: Patrick D. Kenneally, State’s Attorney, McHenry County, Illinois

Goal: Seek the maximum lawful sentence and a lifetime animal-ownership ban for two suspects allegedly involved in filming and committing sexual conduct with a dog.

Authorities received a tip about a disturbing video that allegedly depicted a man engaging in sexual conduct with a dog within city limits. Detectives in Huntley then executed search warrants and conducted forensic examinations of seized electronic devices that purportedly yielded further evidence. Two suspects were identified and arrested. Both now face a felony charge for sexual conduct with an animal. Additional counts may follow after prosecutorial review.

Investigators tied the incident to devices recovered during searches. The case file states that the conduct was recorded and shared, which compounds the harm and risk. Illinois law classifies sexual conduct with an animal as a Class 4 felony. Conviction can bring prison time. Courts can also impose registration and ownership restrictions. These tools exist for a reason. Animals cannot report their abuse. Evidence in this matter was gathered by police who say the abuse was captured on video.

Meaningful accountability is essential. This petition urges prosecutors to seek the longest lawful sentence if guilt is proven. It also asks the court to impose a lifetime prohibition on owning, keeping, or residing with animals. Strong conditions should include mandatory counseling, no-contact orders for the victim animal if applicable, and stringent digital-access limits that block contact with bestiality or animal-abuse content. Justice should reflect the gravity of the alleged acts.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State’s Attorney Kenneally,

We respectfully urge your office to pursue the maximum lawful penalty in the Huntley case where a video reportedly depicts sexual conduct with a dog and where seized devices allegedly contain corroborating evidence. The reported facts describe calculated exploitation. This is not a momentary lapse. It is apparently a deliberate violation that inflicts profound harm.

If the evidence supports conviction, we ask that you seek a sentence at the top of the range and advocate for lifetime prohibition on owning or controlling animals. Please also request court-ordered counseling, strict digital-access limits that block animal-abuse content, and no-contact terms. Conditions should include restitution for any veterinary care or behavioral rehabilitation required.

A strong outcome will deter copycats. It will protect vulnerable animals in McHenry County. It will show that recorded abuse, allegedly created and shared for gratification, meets swift and serious consequences. Thank you for your continued work holding offenders accountable when animals cannot speak for themselves.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
