Goal: Investigate SPCA cited for alleged animal cruelty.
A Florida SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) facility has come under fire due to its disputed treatment of a pig under the facility’s care. A viral video on TikTok reportedly showed the pig, named Waddles, with seemingly severe blisters and burns. When the operator of a pig rescue facility where Waddles is recuperating went to retrieve the pig from the SPCA, she alleges “He was raw and bloody, with no water — just out in the hot sun, roasting. If I hadn’t taken him, it would’ve been death for sure.”
Investigators apparently agreed with at least some of the rescuer’s claims. The SPCA of Tampa Bay was cited by the county animal services for animal cruelty. A complaint has also reportedly been filed at a local police department.
SPCA leaders have vehemently denied any allegations of wrongdoing, but a proper investigation must be launched for the welfare of all animals at the facility. Sign the petition below to encourage the Largo Police Department to proceed with this investigation.

The allegations of animal cruelty filed against the SPCA of Tampa Bay are serious and necessitate urgent attention. If this facility responsible for the protection and care of vulnerable animals is found to have neglected its duty in the case of Waddles the Pig, then appropriate legal remedies must be taken. And if the allegations are ultimately without merit, an organization with the mission of preventing animal cruelty should have its name and reputation cleared.
Please conduct the necessary interviews and investigations to bring this serious matter to a proper and just conclusion.
