Demand Justice for Cow Reportedly Beaten, Tied, and Forced Into Car for Slaughter

Target: Superintendent of Police, Udupi District, Karnataka, India

Goal: Pursue the highest applicable charges, consecutive counts, restitution, and a permanent ban on animal ownership or handling for individuals who allegedly beat, bound, and attempted to haul a cow for illegal slaughter.

Witness accounts reportedly describe three men surrounding a cow, tying her, and beating her near a roadside before forcing her toward a waiting car. One rider approached, saw the scene, and intervened. One suspect apparently fled on foot. Two others allegedly escaped with the cow inside the vehicle.

Police opened a case for cruel treatment and illegal transport for slaughter. Investigators later arrested two suspects and seized a Ford EcoSport said to be used in the operation. One accused remains at large. The cow at the center of this case was reputedly subjected to blows, restraint, and panic during capture.

Firm enforcement protects community values and animals alike. Strong prosecution, maximum penalties on each count, restitution for veterinary care and sheltering, and a lifetime prohibition on animal ownership or employment around animals would deter repeat harm. Authorities should also prioritize locating the remaining suspect and, upon recovery, ensure humane evaluation and care for the injured cow.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Superintendent,

We are outraged by reports that a cow was beaten, tied, and forced into a car for illegal slaughter. A passerby reportedly witnessed the ordeal as one suspect fled and two others drove away with the distressed animal. Such conduct portrays calculated cruelty and demands a resolute response.

Your officers arrested two suspects and seized the implicated vehicle. One accused reportedly remains absconding. We respectfully urge complete, evidence‑driven charges for cruelty and unlawful transport, pursuit of maximum sentencing, and consecutive terms where statutes allow. Please also seek restitution covering veterinary assessment, treatment, boarding, and any rehabilitation needed for the cow.

We further ask for a permanent prohibition on animal ownership or handling for any convicted party, alongside mandated counseling. Visible accountability can deter future trafficking attempts and affirm that brutal, profit‑driven handling of cattle will meet serious consequences.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
