Target: Emma Milligan, Operational Delivery Manager, Lincolnshire Trading Standards, Lincolnshire, England

Goal: Secure corporate prosecution and a permanent shutdown of any facility where piglets were reportedly slammed and sows bludgeoned.

Workers were reportedly filmed gripping tiny piglets by their hind legs and hurling them head-first onto concrete—a banned killing method known as “piglet thumping.” Additional footage apparently shows a sow screaming after a botched bolt-gun shot, and another sow being struck with metal bars. The images, seemingly captured by an undercover investigator, have prompted major supermarkets to sever ties with the farm and sparked a formal Trading Standards probe.

As reported, blunt-force trauma to kill pigs is illegal under the Welfare of Animals at the Time of Killing (England) Regulations. Yet employees allegedly mocked the law, bragging “don’t let nobody see you” after failing to end a sow’s life cleanly. Such apparent cruelty not only causes immediate, excruciating pain but also betrays every consumer who trusts welfare labels on meat products.

Sign below to demand corporate charges against the operator, restitution for veterinary care, and a total cessation of animal operations at the site. Anything less risks treating suspected abuse as a cost of doing business and leaves countless other animals vulnerable.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Ms. Milligan,

Undercover video released by Animal Justice Project reportedly shows employees at a Lincolnshire pig unit slamming piglets to the ground, beating a sow with metal bars, and botching a bolt-gun shot that left the animal shrieking. These acts, if verified, flagrantly violate the Welfare of Animals at the Time of Killing Regulations and the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

Consumers, retailers, and compassionate citizens rely on Trading Standards to uphold the law without compromise. The apparent use of blunt trauma to kill newborn animals and the casual brutality toward adult sows point to systemic indifference, not isolated lapses. Such reported disregard for legal and ethical standards undermines public confidence in the wider food industry.

We respectfully urge Lincolnshire Trading Standards to complete its investigation swiftly, levy the heaviest fines and custodial sentences available, pursue corporate prosecution against the farm’s operator, and permanently revoke any licenses permitting the site to keep animals. A decisive outcome will affirm that Lincolnshire will not tolerate the deliberate torment of sentient beings.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

This is sickening! I live in Lincolnshire and I will NEVER buy pork products again! You just cannot trust these farms or their cruel employees! They LIE and COVER UP their brutally cruel practices, which are of course designed to save MONEY! Do not try to tell me that the farm owners do not know what is going on, of course they do! The local trading standards, and ALSO the RSPCA and the Government MUST ACT TO STOP THIS CRUELTY AND SUFFERING. The public are being deceived into thinking that eating meat is not cruel. I am not a vegetarian, but I KNOW that farm owners will ALWAYS employ CHEAP LABOUR! To maximise profits. But cheap labour consists of mostly incompetent, uncaring or downright brutal people, or cheap immigrants from countries where there is NO compassion for animals.
THIS TYPE OF ATROCITY HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MANY YEARS, JUST NOT UNCOVERED OR THE RSPCA REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING IN CASE THEIR STUPID RED TRACTOR BRAND IS. COMPROMISED! The RSPCA think more of their own brand than stopping animal cruelty! In most cases the authorities ATTACK the good people who expose such cruelty, rather than the farms that commit the cruelty. PIGS ARE SENTIENT! INTELLIGENT FEELING BEINGS! even more intelligent that most dogs. HOW can the UK as a civilised society ALLOW this type of horror to STILL CARRY ON??? After so many, many years of compassionate, caring people trying to expose it! Those poor baby and mother pigs deserve to live in a comfortable pain free environment before being killed for humans to devour!! Instead they live miserable, painful, uncomfortable and short lives and scream in pain as their murder is botched by evil, cruel men!
If it were within my power I would SLOWLY bludgeon those cruel men to death! And also the farm owners who are fully aware of the suffering going on, but do not care! The love of money is truly the root of all evil!

There should be video camera and people from Peta in every single slaughterhouse to prevent such cruelty
But no money talks, and the businesses will not allow this to happen. They don’t care what they workers do to the animals.
No, they don’t care. It’s all about the God‘s Almighty dollar and pound.

  3. ALL THESES EVIL SADISTS SHOULD BE TORTURED TO DEATH..
ANIMALS ARE NOT ON THIS EARTH TO BE TORTURED TO DEATH FOR FUN!!! FFS!!! A FEW CAMERAS DOESN’T COST MUCH!! THERE MUST BE DETERRENTS! ANIMALS MUST BE PROTECTED FROM SUCH EVIL CRUELTY & TORTUROUS DEATHS IN SLAUGHTERHOUSES!

  4. Pigs have been maligned for so long. Just look at how the term ‘pig’ is used to insult people when they are so much better than most people.
