Target: Marios Hartsiotis, Minister of Justice, Cyprus

Goal: Impose the strongest possible penalties on those reportedly responsible for abandoning an elderly dog in a trash container.

An older dog was reportedly discovered in a trash bin, showing the signs of severe neglect and possible abuse. The animal was purportedly left to suffer with no way to escape, only to be rescued by a kind individual who heard barking from the bin. Public outrage has grown around the heartbreaking details of this alleged cruelty and the apparent failure to hold the offender fully accountable.

Early investigations led to arrests, yet the suspects were released without charge, despite apparent evidence tying one individual to the dog’s care. Reports indicate that subsequent admissions of guilt later led to a second arrest, yet concerns remain that lenient responses may continue to prevail. Observers fear this pattern of inadequate punishment could encourage future acts of cruelty against other defenseless animals.

Authorities must send a clear message that intentionally abandoning an animal in such a horrific way will not be tolerated. By pursuing the maximum legal consequences for anyone found guilty of this apparent abuse, it can be ensured that others think twice before inflicting this level of pain and terror on a living creature. The demand is straightforward: enact strong penalties and uphold the laws that protect innocent animals from suffering.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Minister Marios Hartsiotis,

We, the undersigned, urgently draw your attention to the disturbing story of an elderly dog that was apparently discarded in a trash bin and left to endure what must have been unimaginable fear and harm. The circumstances surrounding this incident, and the reported arrests that followed, have raised profound concerns about potential gaps in legal accountability.

Despite initial arrests, those reputedly involved were released without formal charges. Although subsequent developments led to a second arrest, many fear that the ultimate punishment might not fit the gravity of this alleged offense. Such uncertainty can undermine public confidence and leave other vulnerable animals at greater risk of enduring similar cruelty.

We respectfully call on you to pursue all available legal avenues to secure meaningful consequences for this apparent act of abuse. A full measure of justice will not only safeguard innocent lives but will also signal that these callous acts against defenseless creatures will be met with the firmest response.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  2. They should do the same to that POS! Disgusting!

  3. They should do the same to that POS!

  4. Disgusting POS!

Is Cyprus such a low ranking country that animal torturers can be released without any formal charges ?????

    Despicable !

    • Yes,Cyprus IS a POS country. They are also a major poaching location for migrating songbirds, capturing them in nets and sticky branches, to eat. Horrible, barbaric people.

  6. just remove this POS from the planet.

  7. Where is this place? Cyprus? They obviously have NO regard for an animal’s life since they did absolutely nothing to the scumbag(s) that did this, not even the one that admitted to it. THIS is what needs to change, the justice system doing nothing to deter these crimes. We MUST give these scumbags a reason NOT do this. Loss of limbs or other body parts would definitely deter this type of crime.

BETTER YET JUST EXACUTE THIS LESS THAN HUMAN BEING SICK PHYCOPATH THIS WILL END ANY KIND OF ANIMAL ABUSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Cyprus IS a POS country. They are also a major poaching location for migrating songbirds, capturing them in nets and sticky branches, to eat. Horrible, barbaric people.

  8. No animal deserves to be a victim of DEHUMANIZED, DESENSITIZED and MENTALLY-DERANGED SADISTIC PSYCHOPATHS!!
NO animal-abuser should get away with such a horrific crime.
LAWMAKERS, stop these crimes by establishing harsh punishments for animal abuse! It’s your duty as humans.
Tormenting, neglecting and killing animals has a brutalizing effect on our society and mankind as a whole.
These pathological monsters must be severely punished. They must also be forbidden from coming near animals ever again.
SET a PRECEDENT, and punish to the full extent of the law!
MAX JAIL or DEATH PENALTY for these scumbags!

    • Agreed! So much more needs to be done to protect animals AND punish their abusers and anyone who would leave them to suffer and die all alone. Heartbreaking and disturbing!

  9. We continually sign these petitions BUT IS ANYTHING EVER DONE about this type of scum amongst us?

  10. The Greeks are like almost all European countries, they are backwards, uneducated savages who are raised by people with little or no empathy or affection for any animals. We here in the UK had to leave the European Union because we no longer wished to be associated with these primative peasants and gypsies. Here in Scotland the filth responsible for this crime would quite possibly be in prison for it by now.

  11. This person deserves prison and confinement in a trash bin so he or she can understand the depths of cruelty and hopelessness that the poor dog went through. They would have to bind their hands and feet to make them understand how helpless the dog felt. Perhaps THEN they would understand the helplessness and animal feels at the hands of the human they trust.

  12. They still put this kind of waste above an animal.
These are unscrupulous beasts who must suffer the same thing to death. You have no use for that kind of mire!
It gets worse and worse, destroy them all who mistreat and kill animals!

  13. Randall Cook says:

Please punish to the full extent of the law, the individuals who left that poor dog to die.

  14. Leann kong says:

Clearly another useless MALE doing this shit! Honest to GOD! Why?! Find this human rot and throw HIM in a filthy rat infested dumpster and let him die with rodent bites. So sick of reading this garbage. Pick on your own kind – dudes

  15. Manny Remo says:

The Ex POS owner needs to become a soon too be Organ donor!

  16. Do the same thing right back to the horrid human[s]!!

  17. This is no surprise.
Be aware that Cyprus IS a POS country. AMong other brutalities toanimals, they are also a MAJOR poaching location for migrating songbirds, capturing them in nets and sticky branches, to eat. Horrible, barbaric people.
