Stop Tying Up, Starving, and Abusing Horses for Social Media Stunts

Target: Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, India

Goal: End the reported abuse of abandoned horses being exploited for social media stunts and ensure legal action against those responsible.

Reports indicate that abandoned horses are being mistreated and exploited in multiple areas, with disturbing videos showing individuals riding them in harmful ways. According to an animal rights organization, these horses endure extreme cruelty, including having their mouths tied with nylon strings, being forced to perform stunts, and suffering from prolonged deprivation of food and water.

Animal Rescue Kashmir has raised concerns that these acts are not isolated incidents but are part of a growing trend fueled by social media. Many of the alleged abusers are minors who appear to be encouraged by viral videos depicting reckless and inhumane treatment of these animals. Reports suggest that some horses are left bound and without proper care after being used for entertainment purposes.

Authorities must take immediate action to stop this apparent pattern of animal cruelty. Preventative measures, such as counseling minors engaging in these acts and stronger enforcement of animal protection laws, should be implemented. Demand legal action be taken against those who continue to exploit defenseless animals.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear CM Omar Abdullah

Animal welfare advocates say they have documented severe cases of cruelty toward abandoned horses, with disturbing social media videos appearing to show individuals riding, tying, and abusing these animals for entertainment. Reports suggest some of these horses are subjected to painful restraints, lack proper nutrition and hydration, and are forced to endure unsafe stunts that lead to injuries.

The glorification of such abuse on social media raises serious ethical and legal concerns. If left unchecked, these practices could encourage further harm to animals and normalize animal cruelty among young individuals. Authorities must step in to protect these defenseless horses and hold accountable those responsible for their suffering.

We urge you to take immediate action to investigate these reports, enforce animal welfare laws, and ensure that those engaged in such acts face appropriate consequences. Additionally, outreach efforts should be made to educate the public—especially minors—on the ethical treatment of animals. No living creature should suffer for the sake of online entertainment.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. How can humanity be so incredibly cruel to the most innocent among us—our animals?

  2. Seems like the youths involved in this have all been influenced by social media. Don’t people have brains anymore? Can’t they think for themselves? If a social video showed someone jumping into a mile deep canyon, there’d always be someone else who will also do it. There are too many brainless, heartless humans around.

  3. This world is so desensitized to animal suffering! It’s sickening and disgusting how young people do things just to get likes on social media. I hope these depraved acts will be stopped.

  4. This is sickening to read..and it must STOP NOW!!! these youths need to be rounded up taken to jail and kept in for some weeks so they get a taste of what it’s like in real LIFE!! then all of them sent to a BOOT CAMP.

  5. What an EVIL FUCKING SHITHOLE
    Poor Animals & Women.
