Dog Dead From Agonizing Chemical Burns Deserves Justice

Target: District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney, Suffolk County, New York

Goal: Ensure justice for a dog who was  burned with chemicals by prosecuting those responsible to the fullest extent of the law.

A male bully mix, later named Meatloaf, was found wandering near Croft Lane in Smithtown in an appalling state of distress. According to witnesses, the dog had extensive injuries, including suspected chemical burns and infected wounds. Despite being taken in by the Smithtown Animal Shelter, Meatloaf’s injuries were so severe that he tragically did not survive.

This deeply distressing case of animal cruelty has sparked an ongoing investigation by the Suffolk County SPCA. A $3,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this heinous act. Such acts of cruelty are not only illegal but reflect a profound disregard for the welfare of innocent animals.

Animal cruelty is a serious crime under New York law, and those found responsible for Meatloaf’s suffering must face the full consequences of their actions. Sign below to demand that this case is prosecuted to the fullest extent to ensure justice for Meatloaf and send a clear message that cruelty toward animals will not be tolerated in our community.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Tierney,

The recent case involving a male bully mix named Meatloaf, who suffered from suspected chemical burns and severe injuries before succumbing to his wounds, highlights a shocking act of animal cruelty. This defenseless dog endured unimaginable pain and ultimately lost his life due to apparent mistreatment.

Such acts of cruelty are a violation of New York’s animal protection laws and warrant the strongest possible response. Holding the responsible parties accountable is critical to ensuring justice for Meatloaf and deterring future acts of animal abuse in our community.

We urge your office to prioritize this case and pursue the maximum penalties under the law for those found responsible. Animal cruelty has no place in Suffolk County, and by taking firm action, we can protect vulnerable animals and uphold the values of compassion and justice.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
