Goal: Fully prosecute the student who allegedly poisoned a goat to death.
An innocent goat was the apparent victim of a vengeful alleged act of retribution. The goat, Willy, was reportedly discovered convulsing, coughing, and exhibiting other symptoms of physical distress where he was being housed at Texas’ Vista Ridge High School barn. Willy reportedly died in his caretaker’s arms a day later. Upon a post-death examination, veterinarians made a disturbing discovery. Willy’s system was reportedly filled with a deadly pesticide.
A police investigation yielded an even more disturbing finding. Surveillance footage allegedly showed a person entering the barn and injecting a syringe into Willy’s mouth roughly three times. The person reportedly returned later to take videos and pictures of Willy’s distress. The investigation apparently led to a student named Aubrey Vanlandingham. When the suspect was questioned, she reportedly admitted to poisoning Willy (who was a show goat) because she had an issue with the goat’s caretaker: a fellow student and member of the Future Farmers of America. Vanlandingham also apparently confessed to attempting to poison Willy at an earlier time. Investigators reportedly found evidence that the teen had searched for methods to kill a goat in the days leading up to the incident.
Vanlandingham has been charged with cruelty to livestock animals or torture, and if convicted she could be sentenced to up to two years of jail time. Sign the petition below to ensure prosecutors pursue the maximum penalty in this alleged intentional act of deadly cruelty.

Dear DA Dick,
The case involving a show goat allegedly killed in a school barn has attracted the wrong kind of attention. If the findings presented in this case prove true, then a young woman intentionally and maliciously poisoned this animal and watched him die while filming his pain. This living being apparently endured torturous final hours likely marked by intense pain.
The charge of cruelty and torture seems more than merited. Please do not relent in pursuing a punishment that reflects the gravity of this alleged offense.
