Over Two Dozen Dogs Reportedly Imprisoned in Filthy Cages Without Food or Water Deserve Justice

Target: Tripp Fitzner, District Attorney for the Middle Judicial Circuit of Georgia

Goal: Prosecute those charged with severe animal cruelty and seek maximum penalties to deter inhumane breeding practices.

Over two dozen dogs were reportedly living in squalid conditions under the supervision of an elderly couple operating a seemingly illegal and unregulated dog breeding operation. Per reports, a search warrant led investigators to a property covered in filth, where many animals were confined to kennels and crates filled with feces, without visible food or water.

Among the rescued animals, a German Shepherd had to be euthanized due to the alleged severity of its condition, and others were reportedly emaciated and in desperate need of care. These dogs seemingly endured untold suffering, with some likely used repeatedly for breeding under such deplorable circumstances.

Animal cruelty is not only a violation of ethical responsibility, but also an indicator of systemic failures in preventing inhumane breeding practices. Sign below and demand that the district attorney prosecute those charged to the fullest extent of the law and seek harsh penalties to prevent unlicensed breeding operations.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear DA Tripp Fitzner,

The recent discovery of over two dozen dogs reportedly confined in unsanitary and inhumane conditions at an illegal breeding facility in Candler County is a disturbing reminder of the ongoing prevalence of animal cruelty. Investigators reportedly found dogs living in filth, deprived of food and water, and suffering from severe neglect. Tragically, one dog apparently had to be euthanized due to the extent of its condition, and others are recovering from malnutrition and mistreatment.

This case highlights not only the reported suffering of these animals, but also the urgent need for more robust enforcement against unlicensed and unethical breeding operations. We urge your office to pursue the strongest possible penalties against those charged and to advocate for harsher penalties that would prevent similar incidents in the future.

Holding individuals accountable for cruelty sends a powerful message about the seriousness of animal welfare and the need for systemic change. These innocent animals deserve justice, and it is within your power to ensure they receive it.

Sincerely,

  1. NEED TO NAME NAMES: Why don’t these petitions include the names of the evil POS abusers? The sickos in this case are WILLIAM and CELESTE HOWARD were the owners of their own illegal and undocumented dog breeding company at their remote home off of Cool Springs Church Road in Metter. May they both rot for their cruelty and greed.
