Take Action Against Juvenile Allegedly Involved in Animal Abuse Video

Target: Ernie Lee, Duplin County, North Carolina District Attorney

Goal: Ensure a thorough investigation in case involving alleged animal abuse by a juvenile.

A 15-year-old student from East Duplin High School in Duplin County has been charged in connection with a video depicting animal abuse that was reportedly shared on Snapchat. The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office received the video on Monday and swiftly charged the juvenile with felony and misdemeanor animal abuse offenses. The North Carolina Department of Safety is currently handling the case.

Such incidents of animal cruelty are deeply concerning and highlight the need for strict enforcement of animal welfare laws. While juveniles are subject to different legal processes than adults, it is essential that appropriate measures are taken to address the alleged abuse and to prevent future incidents. Ensuring that the juvenile receives proper intervention can help promote rehabilitation and underscore the seriousness of animal cruelty.

By urging authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and take appropriate action, we can help protect animals from harm and promote a compassionate community. Demand that justice is served in this case and that measures are taken to prevent similar acts of cruelty in the future.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear DA Ernie Lee,

I am writing to express deep concern regarding a reported incident involving a 15-year-old student from East Duplin High School who has been charged with felony and misdemeanor animal abuse offenses. According to news reports, a video depicting animal abuse was shared on Snapchat, leading to the charges against the juvenile.

Animal cruelty is a serious offense that not only causes suffering to innocent creatures but also raises concerns about the well-being and development of those involved in such acts. It is crucial that this case is thoroughly investigated and that appropriate measures are taken to address the alleged abuse.

While understanding that juveniles are subject to different legal considerations, I urge your office to ensure that the response to this incident reflects the seriousness of the offense. Appropriate intervention, including rehabilitation programs and education about animal welfare, can help prevent future incidents and promote a more compassionate community.

Please prioritize this case and take all necessary actions to ensure that justice is served and that measures are in place to prevent similar acts of cruelty.

Sincerely,

  1. Sorry, but the age of criminal responsibility is 12. Try and punish as an adult as the law requires, and stop this piss weak watering down of essential laws. They exist for a reason, and this vile article is entirely liable for what they did. Judiciary do your job, its what you are paid for!
