Stop Reportedly Forcing Animals into Bloody Fights for Entertainment

Target: Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana

Goal: Prosecute those allegedly responsible for organizing cruel ram- and bullfights and ensure protection for the animals.

In Hyderabad, rams and bulls were allegedly forced into brutal fights for entertainment and gambling, suffering severe physical injuries and psychological distress. These innocent animals were allegedly hit, goaded, and provoked using painful methods to incite violence, leading to bloody confrontations where they fought until one was deemed the winner.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India filed a complaint against multiple individuals for allegedly organizing and conducting these cruel events. Based on the complaint, the Nagole police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. PETA India urged authorities to locate the rams and bulls and ensure they are protected from exploitation and suffering.

These alleged acts of animal cruelty highlight a blatant disregard for the welfare of animals and violate existing laws meant to protect them. Those allegedly responsible must be held accountable to prevent such inhumane practices from continuing. Take swift and decisive action to prosecute the organizers and ensure the safety and well-being of the animals.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear CM Revanth Reddy,

We are deeply concerned about reports that rams and bulls were allegedly forced into violent fights in Hyderabad, causing them severe physical injuries and psychological trauma. These animals were allegedly subjected to inhumane treatment, including being hit, goaded, and provoked with painful methods to incite aggressive behavior for the purpose of entertainment and gambling.

Such alleged acts of cruelty not only inflict immense suffering on innocent animals but also violate the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and other relevant laws. The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India has filed a complaint, and the Nagole police have registered a case against those allegedly involved. It is crucial that these allegations are thoroughly investigated and that the animals are located and protected from further harm.

We urge you to take immediate and decisive action to ensure that those allegedly responsible for organizing and conducting these cruel events are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Please prioritize the welfare of the rams and bulls by ensuring they receive the necessary care and protection. By doing so, you will send a strong message that animal cruelty will not be tolerated.

Sincerely,
