A man was reportedly seen violently abusing his small dog by holding it in the air by the leash, effectively choking the animal. Animal abuse laws need to be tougher. The punishment should fit the crime. Do the same thing to whoever dared to this to that poor dog – and make everybody around him watch, so they’ll think twice about abusing an innocent animal.

I’m so sorry to hear that this poor animal was subjected to such abuse by it’s owner. This is appalling and unacceptable. This low-down, sadistic piece of slime should be severely punished and banned from being around animals. I wish this fur baby a speedy recovery and I hope he gets justice.

I am so sick of animals being abused and the abuser gets away. The laws must be tougher. The animal has no voice but ours. Can you imagine being put through this torture and not being able to defend yourself? People need to be EU if they torture an animal…..they don’t deserve to live. I pray this dog is okay, but mentally he’ll always remember this and I am sure it wasn’t the first time.

Authorities, all animal abusers should have their children monitored to 18, they may be victims or trainees to this mindset …. they should also fear being suspects in all abuse cases 8n the area including human as behind closed doors they could be one in the same, authorities do that and you may stop a serial …..

This happened in my community. Know that good citizens called police and that he resisted arrest and assaulted the police as well. He is up on charges of animal cruelty and assault. It’s horrendous. You can find information on him and the case if you search Welland, ON.
