Demand Justice for Raccoon Set on Fire by Man

Target: Attorney General Josh Kaul, Wisconsin

Goal: Ensure justice for a raccoon set on fire in horrific case of animal cruelty and advocate for tougher laws against such inhumane actions.

Hayden Weiler, a resident of Owen, Wisconsin, pleaded guilty to animal mistreatment in a horrifying case where he poured gasoline on a raccoon and set it on fire. The incident, which was captured on video and briefly shared on social media, sparked outrage in the community. A Department of Natural Resources (DNR) warden received a tip about the cruelty, leading to Weiler’s charges.

As part of a plea agreement, Weiler is required to complete 150 hours of community service with an organization related to animal rights or rescue. He must also take an educational course aimed at rehabilitating individuals involved in animal abuse and write an essay on the importance of preventing animal cruelty. Additionally, he is barred from hunting, fishing, or trapping for two years.

While these conditions are a step in the right direction, many believe the punishment does not match the severity of the act. Animal cruelty is a serious offense that not only harms defenseless creatures but also reflects a lack of empathy and humanity. Set a precedent for stronger penalties to deter future acts of cruelty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Attorney General Josh Kaul,

I am writing to express my concern regarding the recent case of animal cruelty involving Hayden Weiler, who pleaded guilty to mistreating a raccoon by setting it on fire after pouring gasoline on the animal. The video of this horrific act, which briefly circulated on social media, demonstrates a shocking disregard for the welfare of animals and highlights the need for stronger legal consequences in such cases.

While Mr. Weiler has been ordered to complete community service, take a course on animal cruelty, and refrain from hunting for two years, I believe these penalties do not adequately reflect the severity of the crime. Acts of animal cruelty should be met with stringent punishment to ensure that offenders are held accountable and that such heinous behavior is deterred in the future.

I urge you to consider revisiting this case and advocating for stricter penalties in animal cruelty cases to protect the welfare of all animals in Wisconsin. It is crucial that we set a strong example in cases of cruelty, sending a message that such actions will not be tolerated.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

HE needs SET on FIRE….. 150 hours of service to an animal rescue center isn’t GOING to CUT maybe we can watch him thrashing around on video make popcorn and and TOAST to HIS demise

  2. community service really and working with animals no less. do these simpletons in charge believe this vile piece of shit could ever be rehabilitated. i would like to see him used as a human matchstick, so he knows how painful it was for that raccoon.

I have a lifetime’s experience of people and animals and I can tell you that no amount of counselling or working with animal rights groups can make this brute change his attitude to animals. People with qualifications and degrees spout on about it but they are only repeating what they are taught by others. Men like that monster have black hearts and are evil beyond redemption. They cannot be changed. Only option is to jail them for a long time, or execute them. They must never be allowed near animals again. A short hunting ban is no good, ban him forever. He WILL do it again.

  4. This is punishment? It’s crap! You are one of the reasons men feel it is their right to set animals on fire. Racons are wild animals yet they deserve to live their lives in peace. This man set the racon on fire and watched him burn. THat’s not humanity, it’s satanic! You gave this man nothing as punishment and I feel you need to be fired from any position you may presently hold. If you can’t or won’t do your job, we don’t have today you to protect criminals.

  5. Unfortunately, our judges in our government do not follow God’s word which they will answer to in the end no doubt but, in the meantime they let the perpetrators go with a slap on the wrist and they get to go out and commit crimes again and again our government is worthless and I kind of feel like what’s the point of signing petitions anymore because our government now would the Harris Biden they’re not going to do anything they don’t even care about people they don’t care about human beings let alone animals …. I think this man should be put to death anytime you murder any of God’s creations be it human or animal you should be put to death let him sit on death row let him sit in jail and throw away the key I could care less if the man ever ate again set him on fire let him know what it’s like to be set on fire and then put him out and let him live through the pain that’s what I want to see happen honestly I want to see tit for tat… that’s what I want to see not a slap on the wrist and you can’t hunt for 2 years seriously I hope this judge gets chastised to the epitome from God!!

  6. Erm “mistreatment”??? And exactly WHAT “punishment”??? Read the piece a couple of times and i couldnt see one. This a**hole needs his legs broken and left out in the swamps, give the gators a treat! Only fair: he took from wildlife so owes the same back

  7. Irene Leggett says:

Just exterminate the vile, evil POS as he will never show remorse and he is likely to RE-OFFEND, so harming or even killing another innocent animal.
