Demand Justice for Dog Severely Injured After Thrown From Car

Target: Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody

Goal: Ensure justice for a dog thrown out of a car and advocate for stronger animal cruelty laws and public awareness campaigns.

In a heartbreaking case of animal cruelty, a dog named Sammy was found in Ocala, Florida, after being thrown from a car. When Randi Yeomans and her mother discovered Sammy lying in the road, the dog was severely injured, bleeding, and appeared lifeless. Sammy suffered from a broken front leg, a shattered jaw, and other life-threatening injuries, leading to a long and difficult road to recovery.

Thanks to the compassion of local residents like Peter Fletcher, who brought Sammy to the vet for treatment, and an outpouring of community support through a GoFundMe campaign, Sammy is now receiving around-the-clock care at the University of Florida Animal Hospital. Sammy’s story has sparked widespread awareness about animal abuse, and the community is rallying behind him as he fights for his life.

This petition urges Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody to investigate this case of animal cruelty, ensuring that those responsible for Sammy’s abuse are held accountable. Prevent future incidents of cruelty and neglect.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Attorney General Ashley Moody,

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the recent case of animal cruelty in Ocala, Florida, where a dog named Sammy was thrown from a car and left severely injured. Sammy, who suffered a broken leg, a shattered jaw, and other life-threatening injuries, was found by compassionate residents and is now receiving critical care. This act of cruelty has shocked the community and highlights the urgent need for stronger legal protections for animals.

As the Attorney General of Florida, I urge you to ensure that this case is thoroughly investigated, and that those responsible for Sammy’s abuse are held accountable under the law. Animal cruelty is a serious offense, and justice must be served for Sammy and other animals who suffer from neglect and abuse.

Furthermore, I ask that your office consider advocating for stronger animal cruelty laws and public awareness campaigns across the state. Sammy’s story has touched many hearts, and it is a powerful reminder that animals need our protection. By raising awareness and implementing tougher penalties for animal abusers, we can work together to prevent future incidents and ensure a safer environment for all animals.

Sincerely,

  1. Florida is a hotbed of total lack of animal respect and protection. In Florida there is no protection for animals. Our legal system is broken. America is a land of laws but no justice. Find these criminals and force them to pay for Sammy’s medical bills. Go Fund Me is a fabulous way to assist Sammy but in no way does that mean these monsters can evade their responsibility. The scum could have taken Samy to a shelter instead of throwing him out the window of a moving car. Take their home, savings accounts, cars and all they own to pay for Sammy’s care. And, these criminals must have a life long ban placed on them to forbid them from ever owning, working with, or being near animals for the rest of their horrid lives. They are a waste of humanity.

  2. pls,to all people florida
be kind to annimals, men best friend,
i sweden annimal are welcome, leave its for those

who will adope annimals like cats and dogs
    soon x-mas is comming

  3. Thank heavens for Randi and her mom, the man Pete and the folks who donated, you are all angels. As for the scum, it needs throwing off a roof, a nice bit of eye for an eye

    • I can’t agree more. If justice could be an eye for an eye we would have a lot less animal (and child and elder) abuse. If garbage like this has to feel the same pain as their victim maybe they would get it and learn a lesson.

  4. people are become aware of animal cruelty now? where have these people been? in a coma. this will never stop until the penalties equal the crimes. an eye for an eye!
