Seek Justice for Cats Reportedly Found in Camper Filled With Trash and Feces

Target: Chris Sherer, District Attorney of Walker County, Alabama

Goal: Ensure justice for more than three dozen cats allegedly found living in filthy camper in 88 degree temperatures.

In Walker County, Alabama, a deeply troubling case of alleged animal abuse and neglect has surfaced, involving over three dozen cats found in appalling conditions. According to court documents, Amanda Dawn Chappell is accused of subjecting these animals to severe neglect, with 26 cats reportedly discovered in a camper outside her residence and an additional 12 inside her house. The conditions in both locations were described as deplorable, raising serious concerns about the well-being of the animals.

Authorities report that the camper was 88 degrees and filled with trash and feces, creating a hazardous environment for the cats. Most of the cats were reportedly found in a sickly state, suffering from the effects of the neglect. Inside Chappell’s house, the conditions appear to have been similarly poor, further indicating a severe lack of care and concern for the animals’ welfare. These alleged actions reflect a blatant disregard for the health and safety of these defenseless animals.

This case highlights the urgent need for legal accountability to prevent future incidents of animal cruelty. It is crucial that the District Attorney of Walker County, Alabama, takes decisive action to prosecute Amanda Dawn Chappell under the full extent of the law. Ensure justice for the animals affected and to reinforce the importance of humane treatment of all creatures.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear DA Chris Sherer,

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the recent case of alleged animal abuse and neglect involving Amanda Dawn Chappell. According to court documents, Chappell is accused of abusing and neglecting over three dozen cats found in deplorable conditions at her residence. Reports indicate that 26 cats were discovered in a camper outside her home, which was 88 degrees and filled with trash and feces, while an additional 12 cats were found inside her house, all reportedly in a poor state of health.

These allegations represent a severe violation of animal welfare and highlight a troubling disregard for the well-being of these animals. The conditions described in the court documents suggest that the cats were subjected to prolonged suffering and neglect, which is unacceptable. It is essential that justice is served in this case to prevent similar acts of cruelty in the future and to protect the rights of all animals.

I urge you to pursue this case with the utmost seriousness and to ensure that Amanda Dawn Chappell is held accountable for her alleged actions. By taking strong legal action, you will send a clear message that animal abuse and neglect will not be tolerated and that those responsible will face the consequences of their actions.

Sincerely,

  1. This is disgusting. Chappell did this to innocent cats. She is mentally ill. She needs to be seen by a doctor to see if she should be in an institution. How people become so ill without anyone noticing is beyond me. This woman is mental but society doesn’t want or need people like this. While she is waiting for with mental assistance or a criminal trial, force her to take a toothbrush and clean up the entire trailer. Have her wash and clean it so she understands the smell of shit! It will stay with her as it should. The legal system is broken and doesn’t make an example of people doing this so it repeats. Animals are disrespected by people these days and this woman needs to learn respect.
