Surely there are protocols a police officer must follow when entering someone’s property? No matter the reason for their visit, they have to show some respect and patience while the homeowner sorts things out before brazenly entering. I’ve watched this video numerous times, and it’s obvious that he lured the dog toward him-if you stick your hand out, a dog will come running in anticipation of a treat, belly rub, etc. The dog became aggressive to protect his family when he saw the officer draw his weapon and start to shout. This poor family, and their beloved pet, deserve justice. This POS should be fired and never be allowed to “serve & protect”, ban him from owning guns, attend anger management/sensitivity training, and pay for therapy for the kids!!!

May have had to go through the courts for a dismissal and could then have pleaded ‘self defence’. And with the other dog this’pissant’ cop killed, ( ran over on purpose)’ he would say that he thought the demented bastard cop was going to shoot HIM!!

The officer in question has shown his utter disregard for the lives of pets belonging to the people he was hired to serve. He must be fired and prevented from working for any other police department. This officer gives a bad name to decent police officers.

This guy doesn’t deserve to be a cop. He has no respect for humans or animals. He should be punished for his trigger happy shooting, of this families sweet pet. Also he was very sarcastic when he ran over the man’s dog. He should not be allowed to be a cop because he has no respect, period !
His badge must be revoked and never allowed to enter the force again. He must be jailed. People? cannot just go around shooting animals willy-nilly.
Cops need better training on how to handle dog encounters while on duty. This heartbreaking incident is prime example. Instead of deadly force being used on this poor dog who was protecting his property, the trigger happy cop could have used a taser. The sound alone probably would have scared off the dog and the owner could have retrieved their dog without being harmed. I understand this cop was also recently accused of running over another dog. Clearly this cop does not like dogs. Not only does he need to be made accountable for the death of this dog, the police department needs to revamp it’s measures on dog encounters and train its cops to use other means to handle dogs other than using deadly force.
The only training that this ‘psycho’ cop needs is a bullet through the back of the bastards head!!
