It took two to kill these dogs and both parties need to answer for their crimes. Mary Lou has been allowed to walk away on a $10,000.00 fine. Her husband got stuck with all the felonies? Felonies don’t mean immediate dates in a Court of Law. They should. But they don’t. Our stand of law is disgusting. We have no law, not really. Our courts are awful as the judges who preside over them. America is the land of law but no justice. These dead dogs deserve justice. If they had been your pets or your kids, you’d hope for justice. The law for those who can not carry guns and defend themselves needs to be tough! And it must be enforceable! No excuses, no exceptions.
Totally agree with you! WNc has an invisible Dir of Humane Society who should be leading the charge to enforce what little laws we have to protect animals. We need a citizens action committee for animals.
