Target: Attorney General Victoria Prentis, England and Wales
Goal: Ensure Kevin Proctor faces the maximum legal consequences for defrauding Barnsley Animal Rescue Centre of £230,000.
A shocking case of fraud has emerged from Barnsley, where Kevin Proctor, a trustee and treasurer of Barnsley Animal Rescue Centre (BARC), admitted to defrauding the charity of £230,000 over a six-year period. Proctor, 61, of Hall Close, Worsbrough, entered a guilty plea to the charge of fraud by abuse of position at Sheffield Crown Court.
BARC, one of Yorkshire’s largest animal rescue charities, cares for dogs, cats, and rabbits and has been a vital community resource since 1995. Proctor’s fraudulent activities, committed while he was receiving remuneration for his charity work, have deeply impacted the charity’s operations and trust.
The court ordered a pre-sentencing report ahead of Proctor’s sentencing hearing. BARC’s committee expressed disappointment and reported the matter to The Charity Commission and Barnsley C.I.D. for investigation. This betrayal highlights the urgent need for justice to restore trust and ensure the charity’s future. Take action now.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear Attorney General Victoria Prentis,
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the recent case of fraud involving Kevin Proctor and Barnsley Animal Rescue Centre (BARC). Mr. Proctor, who served as a trustee and treasurer, has admitted to defrauding the charity of £230,000 over a six-year period. This significant breach of trust has caused substantial harm to one of Yorkshire’s largest animal rescue charities, which has been serving the community since 1995.
Given the severity of this crime, Kevin Proctor must face the maximum legal consequences for his actions. This case not only involves a substantial financial loss but also impacts the welfare of numerous animals that rely on BARC for care and shelter. Justice must be served to ensure that such betrayal of trust and abuse of position is not tolerated.
I urge you to prioritize this case and ensure that Kevin Proctor is held fully accountable for his actions. It is vital to restore trust in charitable organizations and protect them from such fraudulent activities in the future.
Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

They need to seize and sell his house and any private pensions or insurances to fully reimburse the charity. Its covered by proceeds of crime act so why not? Judiciary always let the little people suffer but if this greedy mercenary old shit had conned a bank or insurer bet your ass theyd get their money back. Same rules need to start applying to the rest of us! And it must be covered by Legal aid too, none of that “you have to pay yourself, its a civil matter” bullshit we get thrown at us over in this lawless godforsaken corner of the world. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!
What an absolutely vile piece of shit Kevin Proctor is to steal from the animals. He should be made to pay every penny and more back. As Sally Wood so rightly says, if he robbed a bank they’d get their money back but you can bet your life he will get a piddly fine and the very popular at the moment “suspended sentence”. Hope this evil, thieving bastard’s life is HELL from now on….
