Demand Justice for Owls Allegedly Exploited for Entertainment at Cafe

Target: Hon. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, United Arab Emirates

Goal: Ensure the immediate removal of owls from Boomah Cafe and their relocation to suitable wildlife sanctuaries.

Boomah Cafe in Abu Dhabi, which claims to be the first owl cafe in the Middle East, has come under scrutiny for allegedly exploiting owls for profit. The cafe houses nine owls and allows visitors to hold them for a fee of 70 Dirhams (£15). Despite the owner’s assurances that the owls’ wellbeing is a top priority, the establishment has faced backlash from internet users and animal rights activists. Viral videos of the cafe have sparked criticism, with many arguing that using owls for entertainment and profit is wrong. Critics advocate for relocating the owls to wildlife sanctuaries, where they can live in more natural and appropriate conditions.

In a past interview, the cafe owner claimed that some owls at Boomah cannot survive in the wild due to disabilities. However, activists argue that keeping these birds in a cafe environment is inhumane and only serves to exploit them for financial gain. Ensure the immediate removal of owls from the cafe.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Hon. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi,

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the alleged exploitation of owls at Boomah Cafe in Abu Dhabi. Recent reports and viral videos have highlighted that this establishment allows visitors to handle owls for a fee, an act that many consider to be cruel and exploitative.

Despite the owner’s claims that the owls are well cared for, it is evident that using these majestic birds for entertainment and profit is inappropriate and inhumane. The welfare of the owls should be the primary concern, and it is imperative that they are relocated to suitable wildlife sanctuaries where they can receive proper care and live in a natural environment.

I urge you to take immediate action to investigate these allegations and ensure the owls are removed from Boomah Cafe. It is crucial to uphold animal welfare standards and protect these vulnerable creatures from further exploitation.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Oh my gosh, leave the owls out of your greed. They don’t belong in a café with people pawing them.
