Demand Justice for Pet Dog Allegedly Lifted With Leash and Beaten

Target: Hon. Naini Rajender Reddy, MLA of Warangal West, Telangana

Goal: Urge immediate legal action and enforcement of animal cruelty laws to protect animals and ensure justice for the apparently tortured dog.

In a shocking incident from Brahmanwada, Hanamkonda, a man identified as Vinay, a snake catcher, has been allegedly recorded torturing a pet dog belonging to Nataraj. The incident reportedly came to light when a local student filmed it on their mobile phone and brought it to the attention of animal activist Adulapuram Goutham from Karimnagar. Vinay allegedly lifted the dog by a leash around its neck, attempting to kill it and then beat it with a plastic can.

The vocal cords of the dog have reportedly been severely damaged, leaving it unable to bark. Based on Goutham’s complaint, Hanamkonda Sub-Inspector Konga Shravan Kumar has registered a case against Vinay under Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, 1960, and Section 325 read with Section 62 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhitha (BNS).

Goutham, who runs the Stray Animal Foundation of India, has been instrumental in exposing various animal cruelty cases, including recent incidents involving wildlife poachers in different districts. His efforts have resulted in the arrests of individuals involved in killing stray dogs, monitor lizards, rabbits, and wild cats. Sign below and demand that those in charge take on this case and ensure justice for both this innocent dog and other animals who could potentially become victims in the future.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Hon. Naini Rajender Reddy,

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the alleged animal cruelty incident in Brahmanwada, Hanamkonda, where a pet dog was reportedly tortured by a man named Vinay. The distressing incident involved the alleged lifting of the dog by its neck with a leash and beating it with a plastic can, causing severe damage to its vocal cords. This case has been brought to light by animal activist Adulapuram Goutham and is currently under investigation.

Such acts of cruelty towards animals are unacceptable and must be addressed with the utmost seriousness. I urge you to ensure that the authorities take immediate and stringent legal action against the alleged perpetrator. The enforcement of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, 1960, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhitha (BNS) must be upheld to protect innocent animals and deter such heinous acts in the future.

Your intervention in this matter is crucial to safeguarding animal welfare and ensuring that justice is served for the seemingly tortured dog. It is imperative that we send a strong message that animal cruelty will not be tolerated in our society.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.

Sincerely,
