Justice for Dogs Allegedly Killed by Negligent Pet Sitter

Target: Kim Ogg, District Attorney of Harris County, Texas

Goal: Investigate and ensure strict penalties for the individual allegedly responsible for the neglect and deaths of the dogs, and enforce stronger animal welfare regulations.

In Houston, Texas, at least three dogs reportedly died while under the care of a pet sitter booked through Rover.com. The Houston Police Department’s Animal Cruelty Unit is investigating the incident after as many as seven dogs were rushed to an emergency room.

Dog owners Jessica Hayward, Taylor Friesenhahn, Jordan and Matthew Johnston, and Andrew Seerden shared their distress, believing their pets suffered heat strokes due to being kept in a shed without working air conditioning. The pet sitter had good reviews but allegedly failed to provide adequate care, resulting in this tragic incident.

This incident underscores the urgent need for strict enforcement of animal welfare laws to prevent neglect and ensure justice for the animals involved. Take stringent measures to hold individuals accountable for this alleged animal cruelty and ensure the well-being of pets in our community.

your ass needs to be locked in a shed and left u stupid bitch, i hope you get prison time for a long time and not a slap on the wrist. but i would feel much better if you were lock in a shed and suffer the way you let these babies while you were probably sitting in air conditioning on your fat ass

  2. give her time in prison

  3. 3 dogs killed?!!!!! Imagine if those were babies or children?!!! That pet sitter would be bashed on every news outlet!!!! When will those dogs be treated the same? How despicable and irresponsible of such a person and the company Rover.com!

  4. Killing dogs is exactly like killing children. Sitting in an oven is beyond horrible. This woman advertising she is a pet sitter needs to face the same death she gave. Take this woman to a warehouse, with no air condition and allow her to sit inside until she is dead. In some manner people must show abusers what they face by doing horrible things to innocents be they animals or kids, or anyone. The supposed legal system is broken ro dead yet we ask over and over for animals welfare. We get, nothing. Then it happens again. But if the creeps using are abused exactly as they abused maybe then they will stop the pain!

  5. Death penalty for this bitch, coward! Burn in hell!
    Justice for dogs,+RIP

  6. No excuse for this pet sitter as she has been working with animals long enough. She just took away 3 precious lives, with 4 others in the hospital emergency room. Revoke her license to work with animals permanently, also her name should be revealed so that pet owners are aware…and yes inflict the same pain and agony the same way she abused these innocent animals as punishment. Hope that some day soon this penalty will be included in the animal welfare/protection law!

  7. Rover.com needs to go out of business and they need to be held accountable just like this sitter !! Justice needs to happen for these dogs ! And we need better laws for animals!!!

  8. She’s a piece of trash. Put her in a fur coat and lock her in a shed and throw away the key.

Shame on her! Prosecute her to the fullest extent!

  10. There’s a typo in the petition letter, the DA Kim Ogg is female!

  11. How have we not seen this story on TV? This needs to be lit up like a Christmas tree! That woman needs to go to prison!!!

  12. I work for a legitimate/real pet sitting service in San Francisco that celebrated our 20th anniversary last year. I’ve been here almost 10 years. We only cover cats, and don’t do boarding, but I’ve had dogs most of my life (last one passed last year, and I’m not ready yet). We are employees, insured, background screened, and bonded. I don’t know if Rover does that, as all their people are contractors, but I can’t remember how many Rover stories I’ve heard over the last few years that pets died, or were injured – I think all dogs. My heart and soul are with their guardians. This woman should be locked up, and barred from having any pets of her own, and NEVER look after other peoples. My heart is sore. Much love to the people affected by this. Do NOT book Rover. Find a local sitter that is insured/bonded/background screened).

She needs a harsh punishment for these crimes. Our pets are our family. 💔
