Demand Justice for Dog Allegedly Thrown From 15-Foot Bridge

Target: Ms. Monica Morrey, Andrew County Prosecuting Attorney, Missouri

Goal: Investigate and ensure strict penalties for the individual allegedly responsible for the abuse and abandonment of the dog, and enforce stronger animal welfare regulations.

In Andrew County, Missouri, Arnold D. Thomas has been charged with a Class E Felony of animal abuse. According to the probable cause statement, deputies found a dog at the bottom of a 15-foot drop from Dillon Creek Bridge on June 9, 2024. The dog was alive when found but reportedly later died due to health complications. Thomas reportedly admitted to disposing of the dog, believing it to be dead, and tossing it over the bridge. M’Shoogy’s Vet Clinic responded to the scene to care for the dog.

A warrant for Thomas’ arrest has been issued with a bond set at $15,000. This incident underscores the urgent need for strict enforcement of animal welfare laws to prevent such cruelty and ensure justice for the dog. Take stringent measures to hold individuals accountable for alleged animal abuse and ensure the well-being of animals in our community.
