Justice for Puppy Allegedly Kicked and Given Tail Fracture

Target: Mr. Guillermo Valencia Reyes, Attorney General of Michoacan, Mexico

Goal: Investigate and ensure strict penalties for the individual allegedly responsible for the abuse and mistreatment of the pitbull puppy, and enforce stronger animal welfare regulations.

In Michoacan, Mexico, a pitbull puppy named Rene was allegedly abandoned by a 12-year-old boy named Andrés to protect it from his abusive father. The boy left a heartfelt letter explaining that his father mistreats and kicks the puppy, once causing a tail injury. Andrés and his mother decided to leave Rene at the dog rescue group Xollin for safety. Upon receiving Rene, the shelter confirmed the puppy’s tail was fractured and required immediate medical attention.

The shelter took Rene for a health check-up, deworming, and began his health chart in preparation for adoption. The post about Rene’s story on Facebook garnered over 300 adoption requests and widespread support, with many offering to help cover veterinary expenses. The shelter reminded the public that they house about 120 other animals in need of homes. Take stringent measures to hold individuals accountable for alleged animal neglect and cruelty, ensuring the well-being of the puppy and all animals in need.

  1. I am so grateful that the mother and son are so kind… a big thank you and GOD BLESS you whoever you are! Also, thanks to the shelter for healing and rehoming this beautiful innocent pup, hopefully Rene will be loved moving forward, all animals deserve that. God Bless all true blue animal lovers all the world too. Meantime, the mother should seek help to protect her kid from her abusive husband so that he does not follow his father’s footsteps.

What remarkable pet parents the mother and son were. They really had the best interests of their fur child. I hope Rene finds a wonderful, responsible, loving home. Please amend your animal cruelty laws to make them stricter and ensure their full enforcement. The animals do not stand a chance otherwise.
