Punish Dog Walker Who Reportedly Hit Pet Labrador

Target: Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, India

Goal: Investigate and ensure strict penalties for individuals allegedly responsible for animal cruelty, and enforce stronger animal welfare regulations.

Recent incidents of reported animal abuse, particularly towards pet dogs, have sparked widespread outrage in Mumbai. Disturbing videos have apparently surfaced online showing dog walkers, building guards, and neighbors mistreating animals. Popular TV actor Karan Patel recently highlighted one such case in Andheri, where a dog walker was reportedly seen hitting a pet Labrador. Patel condemned the incident on social media, urging the dog’s owner to take action against the walker, identified as Sukhi.

This is not an isolated incident. Earlier this year, celebrities like Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, and others condemned footage from a vet clinic in Thane, where a staff member was apparently seen beating a pet dog. Another video from Bandra reportedly showed a female dog walker abusing a pet beagle, prompting reactions from Alia Bhatt, Soha Ali Khan, and Sophie Choudry.

These incidents underscore the urgent need for stricter enforcement of animal welfare laws. Prevent such alleged abuses and ensure the well-being of animals.
