The pet dog of a television actress was reportedly shot dead in North Carolina by a delivery driver. The incident began when an Instacart employee delivered goods to the home of actress Angie Harmon. Two dogs were apparently on the premises. The driver is reportedly claiming that one dog, Oliver, attacked him and prompted him to fire one shot. The actress, however, has a different story.
In a social media post, Harmon apparently claimed the following: “he got out of his car, delivered the food & THEN shot our dog. Our [Ring] camera was charging in the house, which he saw & then knew he wasn’t being recorded. The police let him go b/c he claimed ‘self-defense.’ He did not have a scratch or bite on him nor were his pants torn.” She went on to allege that the driver acted with indifference following the reported shooting.
Although police confirmed parts of this rendering of events, reports indicate an investigation will not proceed forward. Sign the petition below to urge local law enforcement to keep open this apparent case of a beloved pet murdered in cold blood, and to assess the full facts before reaching a conclusion.

The case involving the apparent shooting of a German Shepherd by an Instacart delivery driver has seemingly been closed. The heartbroken owner of this dog has asked for further action. At the very least, a full investigation should take place. If the driver’s actions are deemed suspect or lacking reasonable response, he should face legal consequences.
Please do not drop this investigation and, in the process, diminish the trust of animal lovers and pet parents in the region.

This driver is an asshole. If you have deliveries coming you need to keep an eye on your pets and keep them away from these idiots. You need to protect your pets from people like this. You cannot even leave your pets outside in fenced in yards by themselves. This story does not say if these dogs were in a fenced in back yard and why would the delivery person be going into the back if that is the case. A lot of questions here, but you all need to protect your pets from people like this. I would definitely be shooting that delivery driver for killing my pet.

The driver should NOT be allowed to deliver any goods of any kind any longer. Animals are NOT safe with him around. I will not use Instacart ever because of this incident, and it wasn’t even my dog. Sorry for your loss Ms. Harmon. Too bad this POS will not be brought to justice for this crime.

This driver is a gun slinging ass that shoots first and asks questions later! This is not acceptable and therefore he should be charged the maximum the law will allow. HE HAD NO INJURIES. A SWEET DOG DIED FOR NO REASON!!!!

I called this Police Department to ask to speak to a Sergeant about reopening the case , the female officer hung up on me. When I went over to their Facebook page, they were deleting critical comments. THIS POLICE CHIEF, Johnny Jennings must be corrupt to allow this case to be covered up so quickly without a proper investigation. MAY JOHNNY JENNINGS BE SHOT TO DEATH BY THE SAME DELIVERY DRIVER , soon !!

It appears that this POS is nothing but a vile, deranged animal abuser who is quite happy to SHOOT innocent dogs just for his own perverted taste. Shame on the police who can’t be bothered to follow-up with this case, but then what else can you expect, when the police themselves often shoot innocent dogs anyway.
The Instacart driver apparently shot this innocent fur baby without provocation. If he feared for his safety, he could have asked the pet parent to restrain the animal. An investigation needs to be opened and he needs to be punished. RIP fur baby and I hope you get justice.
