Goal: Find and arrest suspect who allegedly abandoned dying dog in the middle of the street.
An extremely emaciated dog, who rescuers later named Sugar Snap, was allegedly abandoned on a city street. According to reports the dog, suspected to be a Husky-Shepherd mix, would have likely died if it had not been for a father and child finding and taking him to Animal Care and Control to get help.
Reportedly, the dog was over 30 pounds underweight when found and unable to stand up or walk by himself. Luckily, he is now being cared for by a rescue facility and is said by workers to slowly be regaining strength.
Other animals may be subject to cruelty by whoever abused Sugar Snap unless the person is found and brought to justice. Sign this petition to demand investigators do a thorough search for whoever is suspected of neglecting this animal.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear Sheriff Dart,
An underweight dog, named Sugar Snap by rescuers, was recently brought to animal control after he was reportedly found almost dead in the middle of the street. In fact, rescuers stated that if it had not been for citizens taking the dog to Animal Care and Control, the animal likely would not have survived.
Sugar Snap, who officials think is a Husky-Shepherd mix, is now residing at One Tail at a Time where Kim Thomas is helping to take care of him. According to her expertise, the dog should weigh 50 or more pounds but currently only weighs around 19 pounds. She also noted that the animal cannot stand up or walk without help.
Rescuers are happy to report the dog is eating and that his condition is therefore improving. However, the person who allegedly dumped and left the animal for dead has not been caught. If this person is not found, other animals may suffer at the hands of their abuse. I therefore demand you investigate this case as well as search for and arrest the person who is thought to have committed this heartless act of animal cruelty to better ensure other animals remain safe.

Couldnt agree with you more! Dont matter what laws are put in place, pathetic judges just wont apply them or punish properly, and give these sadists the usual weak kneed slap on the wrist finger wagging cop out. The judiciary needs total reform and reminded that they work for us and need to do as we say, and we want proper punishments for these POS, not only to protect those poor animals but to ensure this scum keep the hell away from our kids, because thats what comes next, never doubt it. If we punished animal abusers properly, we would take out a big old chunk of all round violent criminals, yet judges always wimp out(or sympaythise with the scum) and serious questions about competancy and bias need asking
I have said it before and say again, these useless Judges DARE NOT give out serious sentences as they are ‘shit-scared of any reprisals afterwards! They do not want their fancy homes torching or their cars vandalised so just give the quick ‘ do not do this again you naughty person and I fine you five dollars!!!

Abuse like this is now a (national) felony charge, and that’s legal reason to use all available resources to find the person who neglected and then abandoned Sugar to die. Such abuse often escalates from animals to humans and it’s imperative this abuser is found and charged to the highest degree the law allows. I’m sure that someone has seen Sugar dog somewhere, and likely he’s has been tied outside and clearly visible to passing traffic, perhaps mail deliverer or neighbors. Sheriff Dart is quoted as ‘looking inside and outside of the conventions of law enforcement for nuanced and thoughtful solutions’. Whoever owned Sugar should not be difficult to find.
I’m relieved Sugar was found (true heroes who stopped and rescued him!) and that he is recovering. He looks like a gentle cuddle bug that someone will celebrate giving him a forever home.
Find the perpetrator(s), throw them in a hole and let them die of water deprivation and starvation.
Thank God this dog got away (alive) from his/her supposed “caretaker”. Please find this perp and prosecute him/her to the fullest extent of the law.

What I do not understand is— we keep putting our thoughts and feelings here on this site which no doubt makes us feel a little better as we all know what we would like (or want) to happen to these animal torturing bastards!

Animal Victory gives us a breakdown of what is ( or has) happened to these sick minded tossers who have actually been prosecuted, although no prison sentence would be sufficient for these buggers as the law is too soft.
I presume that these acts of heinous torture depicted on this site are actually genuine occurrences that have happened to these unfortunate animals?? But I have never seen any follow- ups on these cases! If anyone has any information appertaining to this it would sure be good to know. I have done my searching but to date have not come across anything relevant to my query! I am sure that there are many others who feel the same as me as to wether these torturing bastards are STILL running free.
Sorry if anyone thinks I am being pessimistic here but am just trying to find out if justice has been served for the good of these unfortunate animals!
Although the only justice for these bastards is a nice weighted baseball bat or similar to the back I’d the pricks head. It sure does stop them in their tracks and one thing is for sure — the bastards will NEVER torture another living animal again. Guaranteed !!!

You are right Jon….we NEVER hear of any of these scum bags being “punished”. One thing is certain though and that is that the “punishment” will be laughable and make us all feel even more angry and helpless to do anything about it, except sign more petitions. Until these animal abusers are just executed and removed from this world permanently the abuse will continue and those who are supposed to hand out the so called justice will carry on allowing it.
