Target: Sheriff Louie Gregoire, Miller County
Goal: Ensure immediate intervention and potential legal action for the alleged mistreatment of four dogs in Eldon, Missouri.
The recent distressing report from Eldon, Missouri, uncovers an alleged scenario of grave animal neglect and cruelty. Four dogs have been allegedly kept chained constantly at a residence on Rabbit Hill Road. Shockingly, reports state that the provided ‘shelters’ are grossly inadequate, with one not even have a front wall and leaving the canine exposed to harsh elements. Furthermore, a recent tragic event allegedly involved the death of a litter of puppies, possibly due to extreme cold, an incident that underscores the severity of the situation.
More disturbing details emerge from photographs, allegedly depicting overturned water bowls and a dog in a worrying state of emaciation. Chains wrapped directly around the dogs’ necks are an apparent cause of pain, potentially leading to severe injuries. Despite these alarming conditions, authorities have reportedly visited the property multiple times, yet have deemed the situation legal. Their stance, with one officer reportedly stating that the dogs would have to freeze to death for the shelters to be considered inadequate, is both shocking and unacceptable, particularly with temperatures plummeting to dangerous lows.
This alarming situation seemingly violates Missouri’s anti-cruelty statute (Section §578.005), which mandates adequate shelter, wholesome food, and clean water for animals. Despite numerous pleas from PETA, the local sheriff’s office has shown resistance to taking action. It is apparent that without urgent intervention, these animals face imminent risk of hypothermia, frostbite, or worse. Take immediate action.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear Sheriff Louie Gregoire,
We write to you deeply concerned about the reported situation of four dogs in Eldon, Missouri. As per the details shared by PETA, these animals are allegedly enduring severe neglect, with inadequate shelter, lack of food, and improper chaining. Such alleged conditions not only expose these dogs to the harsh winter weather but also potentially violate Missouri’s anti-cruelty laws.
The photographic evidence and witness accounts reportedly paint a dire picture. One dog is visibly underweight, and the ‘shelters’ provided are substandard, failing to protect them from extreme weather conditions. Most troubling is the report of a recent litter of puppies dying, possibly due to exposure. This situation demands immediate attention. The statement from an officer suggesting that the dogs would have to succumb to the cold before the shelters are deemed inadequate is alarming and calls for a reassessment of the situation on the ground.
We urge you to reconsider the legal stance taken on this matter. The conditions these animals are subjected to appear to contravene the mandates of Missouri’s anti-cruelty statute. Ensuring the well-being of animals within your jurisdiction is not just a legal duty but a moral imperative. We strongly advocate for a re-evaluation of the living conditions of these dogs. If found in violation of the law, appropriate legal actions should be taken against the individuals responsible for this neglect.
Time is of the essence in this matter. With temperatures dropping to potentially life-threatening lows, these dogs cannot wait. We implore you to take immediate action to provide them with the necessary care and shelter. Furthermore, we request that you consider the potential legal implications of these allegations and act accordingly to ensure justice and prevent further suffering.
Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

The sheriff and his officer who deemed these horrific and cruel living condition OK should be fired. Replace them with officers who have some common sense and compassion and who know the law regarding to animal cruelty. Quite obviously an animal does NOT need to die before its cruel treatment breaks the law! What stupid morons does that county employ as law officers?
Get those suffering dogs out of there before they also die as did other at the hands of the brutal scum who owns them.
There is only one.
This damn spawn of the devil must suffer the same as these poor animals
Shameful, just shameful to no end.
A pile of shit has more decency, compassion and most of all a purpose in this life. Fertilizer is made from shit.
but… people are toxic garbage. very dangerous.
rot in hell
Show no mercy as these horrid officers and criminals showed none to other living beings!
Put these people out in the cold for a couple of days … naked, no water, no shelter, and no food and chained. Let them experience their compassion towards others by the way they will be treated and enforce this punishment! If criminals suffer from their own lack of compassion … they will learn how to be compassionate.
