Target: Matt Platkin, Attorney General of New Jersey

Goal: Ensure legal action against individuals allegedly involved in the heinous dogfighting ring.

In Newark, New Jersey, a shocking revelation has surfaced. Two men, Tommy Watson and Johnnie Lee Nelson, have been charged for their alleged roles in a disturbing dogfighting operation. This cruel ring, known as “DMV Board,” reportedly spanned several states and utilized Telegram for coordination. The abuse these animals allegedly endured, from fighting to killing, demands urgent action.

From August 2017 through March 2019, Watson and Nelson purportedly engaged in the training, fighting, and transportation of pit bull-type dogs. Shockingly, authorities accuse them of sharing videos of live dog fights, training sessions, and even the heartless killing of dogs that underperformed. Such acts, if true, depict a horrifying disregard for animal welfare. The emotional impact of these allegations resonates deeply with any compassionate person.

This petition calls for the Attorney General of New Jersey to take firm action. The alleged atrocities committed against these innocent animals must not go unpunished. Demand rigorous prosecution and appropriate penalties for those involved in this alleged dogfighting ring. It’s a moral imperative to uphold justice for these defenseless creatures.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Matt Platkin,

We are deeply troubled by the alleged dogfighting ring uncovered in your state, involving Tommy Watson and Johnnie Lee Nelson. This appalling situation, as reported, spans multiple states and involves the cruel treatment of pit bull-type dogs. Allegations of live dog fights, barbaric training methods, and the merciless killing of dogs are especially disturbing.

The details emerging from this case are heart-wrenching. Imagine the pain and fear these dogs may have endured. The charges against Watson and Nelson, including the distribution of videos showcasing these cruel acts, paint a grim picture of animal cruelty. This case is not just a legal issue but a testament to our society’s values regarding the treatment of animals.

Therefore, we urge you to pursue this case with the utmost severity. These alleged actions, if proven, warrant substantial legal repercussions. We ask for justice to be served, not just for the sake of these animals but to send a clear message that such brutality will not be tolerated in our society.

Sincerely,

  1. New Jersey needs to get real and issue arrest warrants! These men are criminals as dog fighting IS against the law! This needs no explanation and the two men need to be tried in a court of law. If they are accountable, as is deemed they are, they should face horrendous fines, leans against their homes, and prison. Lax laws us the reason these illegal fighting rings continue. If the law is respected in New Jersey these men should be punished in the extreme so it sets an example judges can’t be bought, the law speaks for those who can not speak for themselves, and to commit this crime is to know a high price will be paid!!!

  2. There are fewer things more despicable than dog fighting and the people involved in this sadistic and cruel sport designed to maim and kill for some freaks fun. The horrors these poor animals are constantly subjected to are too depraved for going into; imagine the most awful way for a dog to die and think again because dog fighting is worse. Teach these lowlifes a lesson let others know there will be consequences for this, they will go to prison and then they will get a lifetime ban from being near any animal – and thats being way too nice. Arrest and jail these criminals.

  3. These heinous monsters should be thrown in with the dogs so that the dogs can tear them apart till the die from injuries. They need first hand experience as to the horrific acts that they have caused these poor animals to endure. JUSTICE. Then rehab the dogs and find them loving families.

  4. These 2 so called “humans” need to be incapacitated physically and thrown in the pen with hungry pigs…they eat anything and don’t leave much behind. If NJ officials don’t prosecute them , they are just as guilty as the perpetrators

This fighting is heartless, moneygreedy people, or love to see abuse. Put all in jail, proof is there.
