Justice for Dog Subjected to Alleged Animal Cruelty and Neglect

Target: District Attorney Jason Walsh, Washington County

Goal: Ensure legal consequences for those allegedly responsible for Thor’s tragic demise due to neglect.

In Washington County, an appalling situation came to light involving the demise of Thor, a dog, under deeply distressing circumstances. Allegedly, Thor was found in a state of decay, having been deceased for ten days in a basement described as having “deplorable conditions”. The owner, April Sloane, reportedly admitted that Thor died due to not receiving proper care. This revelation raises grave concerns about animal welfare and demands urgent attention.

Further details of the case intensify the need for action. Sloane’s teenage son shared disturbing accounts and photographs of Thor, depicting the animal in apparent poor health. These images, coupled with the refusal to seek veterinary care despite the animal’s evident suffering, suggest a pattern of neglect. The proximity of their residence to an emergency veterinary clinic, less than 500 feet away, underscores the potential ease of obtaining care, making the alleged neglect even more troubling.

This petition demands that District Attorney Jason Walsh take immediate steps to ensure that those allegedly responsible for Thor’s suffering face appropriate legal consequences. Justice for Thor is not just about one dog; it’s a stand against animal cruelty, advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves. Only through stern legal action can a clear message be sent that such alleged neglect is intolerable.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Jason Walsh,

In the wake of the distressing findings in Washington County, this petition urges you to pursue legal action against those allegedly responsible for the neglect and subsequent demise of Thor, a dog whose story has shocked and saddened many. Thor’s case is not just an isolated incident; it is indicative of a broader issue of animal welfare that demands our collective attention and action.

The details emerging from this situation paint a picture of alleged neglect that is both heart-wrenching and infuriating. Thor reportedly lived his final days in a state of neglect, leading to his untimely death. This situation, reportedly occurring in the home of April Sloane, calls for a thorough investigation and appropriate legal response. The apparent refusal to seek veterinary care, despite the animal’s visible distress and the proximity of an emergency clinic, adds to the gravity of the alleged actions.

We urge you to ensure that justice is served in Thor’s case. The community looks to you to uphold the law and protect those who cannot protect themselves. A strong message must be sent: animal cruelty, in any form, is unacceptable and will be met with the full force of the law.

Sincerely,

“No charges have been filed yet.” Unreal! This monster (woman) did nothing but torture Thor to death! Even her own son shared pictures of this poor dog. A dog that was adopted!! April Sloane is scum!! After Thor dies, she puts him in the basement, discards him like garbage. April Sloane is the garbage!
Charge this psychopath! What are you waiting on? It sounds like you have more than enough to bring charges against this sorry excuse of a human.

  2. This woman is disgusting! Her son is the same.; Yet they live in society? WHY? They are not fit to live among normal people as they are not normal. How to do this to a friend? They have no compassion and are ill, mentally ill. Yet these tow excuses for humanity are guilty of the crime. They are accountable. They should be held responsible for Thor’s torture and death. They need to have this crime on their permanent record! To live with the realization of doing this to an animal would be too much guilt for a normal person to live with. Are these two people normal?
