Target: Mr. Paul Biya, President of Cameroon

Goal: Increase efforts to protect the Cross River gorilla population in Cameroon from illegal hunting and habitat destruction.

The Cross River gorilla is one of the rarest and most endangered primates in the world, with only about 300 individuals remaining in the wild. These gorillas are found in the border region of Cameroon and Nigeria, where they face threats from illegal hunting and habitat destruction.

To protect the Cross River gorilla population, we must increase efforts to prevent illegal hunting and preserve their habitat. The loss of habitat due to deforestation and other human activities is a significant threat to the survival of these gorillas. In addition, illegal hunting for bushmeat and other purposes has severely depleted their population.

Increasing law enforcement efforts to prevent illegal hunting, promoting sustainable development that takes into account the needs of wildlife, and supporting conservation organizations working to protect these gorillas can help to preserve the Cross River gorilla population in Cameroon and ensure that these magnificent animals continue to thrive in their natural habitat for generations to come.

Sign below and demand President Biya take immediate action to protect the Cross River gorilla population in Cameroon.
