Justice for Dog Apparently Stabbed, Choked to Death, and Left in Dumpster

Target: Mark Messmer, Indiana Senate Majority Leader

Goal: Support tougher sentences for animal cruelty felony convictions.

The city of Indianapolis was shocked and sickened when a deceased dog was discovered in a dumpster. After an examination, reports confirmed that this animal, named Deron, had likely been stabbed and choked to death. Four people have since been charged with animal cruelty, including one defendant who later came under suspicion for the shooting death of a person.

The horrifying incident has sparked a new legislative push for tougher animal cruelty laws. A state senator from Indianapolis, where the alleged crime took place, has introduced a bill that if passed would become law across Indiana. Under the legislation, several types of animal cruelty would be reclassified from level five felonies to level six felonies. As a result, sentences in the event of convictions would yield significantly longer prison terms of up to six years.

Sign the petition below to support this strongly backed call for greater accountability in the worst cases of animal cruelty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Senator Messmer,

SB41, which enhances penalties for the most heinous animal cruelty felonies, has immense popular backing. Senator J.D. Ford, who introduced the bill, said of the initiative: “we too often hear terrible stories of animal cruelty in Indiana, including in Indy just a few months ago.” He believes this measure would “ensure that the penalty for animal cruelty better aligns with the crime after listening to the folks who want justice for animals in these cases” The incident of which the senator speaks involved the brutal apparent stabbing and choking death of a defenseless dog and the subsequent arrest of four individuals.

These suspects, and any future Indiana residents found guilty of animal cruelty, need to face the full measure of justice. At least one of the defendants in the aforementioned case allegedly went on to kill a person. Please send a decisive message that irreparable harm inflicted upon any vulnerable living being will not be tolerated in this state. Help pass SB41 as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Me too. I might even be able to stand by and watch something like this. Never had a sick or twist mind but I’m starting to think more like this when I hear about animal abusers and child abusers that get sentenced ( if they get caugh)
A few months in jail or just probation. Does anyone really believe that will rehabilitate these scum bags? No is the answer ! They will event move on to their wives, parents or a class room full of innocent kids and teachers.

    • You are so right, then we can call it JUSTICE DONE !!! THESE MUNSTERS MAKE ME SICK!!!

    • I back that 100%! If only our laws and justice (ha!) System weren’t such a joke and didn’t seem to benefit the actual piece of sh*t criminals instead of the victims, I would volunteer to slowly and methodically eliminate these worthless evil bastards from this world.
You ask yourself “Who would do this to an innocent animal and why?” The answer is: a demented, evil, coward who is worth less than a piece of dog crap. That’s who.

    • I agree with you. I always wonder how these poor animals are discovered if already deceased.

    • Ent, well said. Ditto

  2. IF OUR FRIGGIN JUSTICE SYSTEM IS NOT GOING TO STEP UP THEN I WOULD LIKE TO SEE AN EYE FOR AN EYE MAKE A BIG COMEBACK!!

  3. Nadine brundage says:

Sick bastards like those four who killed that dog need prison time and twenty years would be justice for the voiceless. Subhuman trash need to be put far away from society. Every state in this country should have better animal protection laws as Animal cruelty has become rampant and those responsible need to face stricter consequences.

  4. Why don’t we do the same to them!!!! Tougher laws or better yet just shot them. The world would be a better place

  5. I agree- “an eye for an eye”!!

  6. An eye for a eye👁!!what these low life scum did to these poor sweet FURBABIES should get the SAME treatment that they did to these helpless creatures of God!

RIP BEAUTIFUL DERON🌈 FLY HIGH YOU BEAUTIFUL SOUL🐾❤

To the POS 🖕 I HOPE YOU ROT IN HELL👿

  7. I am so sick of reading about these awful things done to animals and nothing ever comes of it. These people will be back on the streets soon. Also I would like to see or hear of updates as to what does happen to these ‘people’ even though it’s never enough.

  8. THERE IS NO JUSTIFIABLE REASON NOT TO PASS SB41.

  9. This piece of shit needs to have the same thing happen to him. Please let me know who this is and I will stab him myself

  10. Sherry Abela says:

Every vulnerable living being deserves justice if they are abused, neglected, tortured or killed in such a heinous act of violence. Animal torture will never stop unless the laws of the United States are toughened. This dog deserves more than a slap on the wrist as punishment for his abusers. Just imagine what this poor dog suffered before he died. If found guilty of this crime they should be punished to the fullest extent that the law will allow. Please be a voice for this innocent dog.

  11. takes this type of killin of a poor inncocent dog to finally force stricker laws this shit should have been done a long time ago make it stricker across the globe period all animals deserve the same justice like humans…

  12. This is what low life trash does!!! This dog suffered and they should too!!!

  13. IT IS TIME THESE LOW LIFE PIECE OF GARBAGE SO CALLED HUMANS
    DO TIME IN JAIL.

THEY HAVE TO GIVE HARDER SENTENSES FOR THE LOW LIFE SCUM OF THE EARTH SO CALLED HUMANS.

THESE PEOPLE DONT DESERVE TO BREATHE THE SAME AIR.

  14. I read all of these comments on what should happen to these worthless bastards that did this to this dog. Is anyone here willing to step up to the plate and eliminate these bastards? I would bet all I’ve got that the answer would be “NO”. They want something done to these lowlifes but they always want someone else to do it. I guess that is where the phrase comes in that says, “all talk and no action”. Talk doesn’t mean shit if it’s not followed with ACTION. But I guess it makes people feel good that they are letting their feelings be known, even though it doesn’t mean shit. I’m still waiting for the day that I read a story where someone actually hunts down a dog torturer and blows his fuckin’ brains out. Now THAT is what would really make my day. Until then it’s all bull shit talk and no action!!!!!!!!!!

    • If I could get away with it, I would take every one of them out. How about you Johnny K.?

    • There are very many people who want these bastards dead but for a ‘normal’ person, this would be very hard to do as killing another human ( even human shite) would not be possible given the chance as it is not in a ‘normal’ persons nature to kill!
But, a angry fired up hooded mob all in the same mind could I believe pull this off no problem.
And yes, it is good that everyone who submits to this site feels the same way and shows that many of us would if given the chance, despatch these nasty torturing bastards painfully!
Although Johnny K, I am sure many of us would relish the chance to see a submission here saying one or more of the murdering torturing pissants mentioned here had been painfully terminated!
Absolute power to any group who can pull this off and would be a message to any other animal torturing bastards who think they can get away with it.

  15. Same should be done to these monsters. This is the only justice. They are sick and dangerous. Don’t wait for another crime to happen. Please make sure they are not getting a slap on the wrist.

  16. Gabriels Torres says:

I WISH THE DAMN MONSTER THAT DID THAT DIE THE SAME WAY

  17. Susan Laatsch says:

yes, an Eye for an Eye……do unto others as you’d have them Do Unto YOU. !!
FBI have Proven that Animal Abusers Do move on to CHILDREN. Let’s get Rid of them BEFORE THEY MOVE ON TO CHILDREN !!

  18. Kathy Bossart says:

STATES NEED TOUGHER ENFORCEMENT AND LAWS TO PUT THESE A-HOLES AWAY. WHAT A PIECE OF LOWLIFE WORK. I HOPE SENATOR MESSNER CAN GET THESE LAWS PASSED AND INFORCED. THIS IS A DOWN RIGHT SHAME THIS PURE BABY ENDED UP IN THE HANDS OF A DICK ASS. PUT HIM AWAY FOR GOOD. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE 2 MINUTES IN A CELL WITH THIS BASTARD ALONE AND A BALLBAT.

  19. Monica+Lee+Koski says:

Wow…how many horrific stories of animal abuse, cruelty, neglect, and murder does it take to take real action to strengthen animal welfare laws?! I know I am so sick and heartbroken to read how monsters mistreat animals in the worst ways, and even if they are identified and charged, receive nothing but a slap on the wrist! Until laws are made stricter, enforced, and prosecuted with actual punishments that fit the crime, nothing is ever going to change! I wish there could be an eye for an eye consequence, but since that is not an option, those who mistreat animals in any way should be @ the very least, forced to spend extensive time in jail and be legally banned from ever being allowed around another animal in their lifetime!

  20. Adrienne Kaiser says:

This entire country needs tougher animal cruelty laws!! Not only tougher laws, but we need LEOs who will arrest the people who committ these crimes ,and judges who will enforce these laws without exception. Animal abuse and cruelty will only get worse unless authorities hold the perpetrators accountable. Animal cruelty has been proven to be a springboard to crimes against humans. C
