Dozens of Dead, Injured and Starving Farm Animals Deserve Justice

Target: Hancock County Prosecutor Brent Eaton
Goal: Bring charges against person accused of severely neglecting dozens of dead, injured, and starving farm animals.

“One of the worst cases of farm animal abuse,” is how the scene has been described by a rescuer. According to reports, dozens of farm animals have been found dead, injured, and starving on a ranch.

Olivia Head with Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary reports that some of the aliments facing the apparently abused animals include parasites, starvation, and severe diarrhea. Some of the animals were reportedly found locked up in a truck.

The good news is that Oinking Acres, in conjunction with A Critters Chance, have rescued dozens of these farm animals and ensured they receive medical treatment. The bad news is that crimes against farm animals often go unpunished. When asked about this fact, Head explained that people don’t have enough respect for farm animals. “They’re seen as commodities and products and not seen as the wonderful loving creatures that they are.”

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Prosecutor Eaton,

The abuse of farm animals often goes unnoticed and unpunished due to society’s view of these animals as commodities. This is not fair. All animals deserve kindness and compassion, and when they are abused, the perpetrator should be punished.

According to reports, “one of the worst cases of farm animal abuse” recently occurred in your jurisdiction.

Olivia Head with Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary reports that dozens of farm animals were found dead, injured, and starving. Some of the aliments facing the apparently abused animals include parasites, starvation, and severe diarrhea. Some of the animals were found locked up in a truck.

Please ensure that there is not one standard for household pets and a different standard for farm animals. To that end, please prosecute this case to the fullest extent.

Sincerely,

Lock the ranch owner up in the same truck as the dead farm animals, and leave him there until he ends up with the same fate!
