Goal: Give people who allegedly locked dog inside apartment closet before moving tough legal sentence.
A malnourished dog was allegedly locked inside a closet and abandoned by the owners. Yvette Rogers and Ronnie Goodwin were arrested for the crime shortly afterwards. It is important they receive the maximum amount of time in prison as allowed by law if they are found guilty of this thoughtless act of animal cruelty to better ensure other dogs will remain safe.
The neighbors who allegedly found the dog said the fur was so matted the animal was in an extreme amount of pain. According to authorities, Rogers and Goodwin left the dog behind because their time to move out had expired. The animal was permanently seized and will eventually be put up for adoption. Rogers and Goodwin were charged with second degree animal cruelty. Sign this petition to demand they spend time behind bars if it is discovered they mistreated and neglected this innocent creature.

Dear County Attorney White,
Yvette Rogers and Ronnie Goodwin were arrested after neighbors reportedly found their dog abandoned inside their old apartment closet. While it is good news the suspects have been apprehended, they need to spend time in prison if it is found they committed this heinous act to better ensure other animals will not have to endure the same fate.
According to reports, the dog was found by neighbors. Authorities said the dog was malnourished and extremely matted to the point of being in pain. Police indicated that the suspects had left the dog behind because they were not able to take the animal with them when they moved. The dog will be re-homed, once fully recovered.
For the above stated reasons, I demand you suggest Rogers and Goodwin be sent to prison for a lengthy amount of time if they are found guilty of this vile and selfish act of animal cruelty.

Ranting and criticizing people who have nothing to do with it sounds crazy, is useless. Do something, foster, donate, spay and neuter, etc., if you want to help. Spewing anger in all caps helps nothing.
When you are sick and tired of hearing these stories, knowing there are people who know about the cruelty and do nothing, you HAVE to yell! I have five rescues and wish I could take them all.

Locking ANY helpless creature in a small dark space to slowly starve to death in its own excrement is not fucking THOUGHTLESS.

MAYBE “thoughtless” in the sense of some kind of brain impairment of these two, but these were clearly also PREMEDITATED acts. An animal CANNOT get that matted in a short amount of time, so that had being going on for months, if not longer! Plus, it appears they didn’t even bother to access a shelter or even neighbors for this poor dog’s re-homing, either.
POS’s like those humans need to not be able to have kids. With the way they treated that innocent dog, who wants them to raise a family who would be so brainlessly heartless toward animals & act the way the parents do?
If someone cannot look after an animal in the correct way dont have them. Its simple Don’t abuse them. Stamp out animal cruelty.

More and more of this has been happening and why because their obviously appear to be no justice for these animals. I have yet to hear of one of these pieces of crap who have left their animals locked in an apartment, locked in a closet, chained in an abandoned house, etc., because they “MOVED”, be found and face any consequences. Put their information out to the public, so we, the people, can know who they are. At least knowing who these people are, we can try to help look out for any other animals they may have. The laws sure aren’t doing it. Aside from that, put their information out there, so street justice can get done to them. Hopefully a group of animal lovers can spot them on the streets and kick the living daylights out of them. Wishful thinking I guess.

Yvette Rogers and Ronnie Goodwin Are MONSTERS and should be treated as such. There is NO good reason for what they did to this poor furbaby, none. Clearly the dog was not cared for prior to being locked in the closet and abandoned . I beg you, in addition to max charges, please ban these awful people for life from owning or having any animal in their care.
Yvette Rogers and Ronnie Goodwin do not deserve the light of day. Look at that little dog so matted and in pain starving to death locked away and abandoned in a closet with no way to escape. What a thoughtless crime. Absolutely no excuse for this kind of animal abuse. I really wish I was the Judge sentencing these 2 heartless human beings.
This type of behavior is way too common. Please people, if you can’t take care of an animal correctly, please don’t have children. Animals cannot feed and water themselves. They have human caretakers that must do that and if you can’t even do those simple tasks, please do not have any animals in your household.
Again a lot of useless ranting and raving. That dog did not get that matted in a week. Where are neighbours? Why does no one say anything? Everyone who keeps quiet when they know that an animal is living there and is never seen have some responsibility for it.
All it takes for evil to succeed is for good people to to keep quiet.
