Demand Justice for 9-Year-Old Boy and Multiple Dogs Allegedly Found in Deplorable Conditions

Target: David S. Leyton, Genesee County, MI Prosecutor

Goal: Hold those responsible for the alleged abuse of a nine-year-old boy and multiple dogs accountable and ensure appropriate legal action is taken against them.

Reports indicate a nine-year-old boy was found living amidst unimaginable neglect in Flint, MI, while two dogs were discovered dead and two others emaciated. Three individuals—Charles Ashbaker, Kelly Walker, and Dougal Nelson Junior—are facing serious charges, including cruelty to animals and child abuse. The depths of this situation are appalling; it is alleged that the child was living in a home filled with rotting food, while helpless dogs suffered and died without proper care.

Further investigations reportedly unveiled more horrors, such as the discovery of one dead dog and a deceased puppy inside a pizza box. The reported actions of Ashbaker, Walker, and Nelson, which include not only animal cruelty but also assaulting a police officer, seem to highlight a pattern of irresponsible and dangerous behavior that must not go unpunished. The community deserves to know that these allegations will be treated with the seriousness they warrant, especially when innocent lives are at stake.

It is crucial to demand accountability for these alleged acts of cruelty and neglect. The safety of children and animals must be prioritized, and appropriate legal action should be taken against those accused to prevent further harm. Therefore, the petition demands that the Genesee County Prosecutor fully prosecute all individuals involved to the fullest extent of the law.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Prosecutor Leyton,

The recent allegations involving Charles Ashbaker, Kelly Walker, and Dougal Nelson Junior are deeply disturbing and seemingly  highlight a grave violation of the rights and well-being of both a nine-year-old boy and multiple dogs. Reports state that the child was found living in deplorable conditions, while two dogs tragically lost their lives and others were left to suffer from severe neglect. A dead puppy was allegedly discovered in a pizza box and the refrigerator filled with rotting food.

The charges against Ashbaker and Walker for cruelly abandoning and torturing animals, combined with child abuse allegations, paint a picture of systemic neglect and cruelty that must not be tolerated. These individuals have allegedly displayed violent behavior, resisting law enforcement and contributing to a climate of fear and suffering for both the child and the animals involved. Justice demands that such actions be met with serious consequences.

The community must be assured that there will be strong legal repercussions against those who partake in such reprehensible acts. Therefore, we urge you to take immediate and decisive action to fully prosecute Ashbaker, Walker, and Nelson to the fullest extent of the law.

Sincerely,
