Target: Eric Adams, Mayor of New York City
Goal: Hold accountable those allegedly involved in the horrific abuse and neglect of animals in New York City.
New Yorkers are outraged by the stark statistics reported by the ASPCA regarding animal abuse cases, particularly against cats and dogs. Out of 2,783 cases reported between 2013 and 2022, fully 2,271 involved the neglect or mistreatment of dogs, with heartbreaking examples like an individual arrested in Queens for allegedly keeping nearly 50 puppies in deplorable conditions. A total of 408 cases of cruelty against cats were also reported.
The troubling findings reveal not only that neglect and abandonment plague dog populations but also that the cruelty inflicted upon cats may be drastically under-reported. Reports of deliberate and fatal injuries to cats are deeply disturbing, with 233 documented instances. Allegations have surfaced surrounding individuals like Andre Robison, who was reportedly filmed kicking a cat, highlighting the need for more rigorous enforcement and attention to these crimes. The ASPCA’s assertion that “abuse of cats is likely more severe than currently recognized” cannot be ignored, and stronger punitive measures are essential for deterrence and justice.
Addressing animal cruelty is imperative for community safety and ethical responsibility. The lack of understanding and reporting of cat abuse demonstrates a blind spot in societal awareness, while the alarming statistics on dog abuse emphasize a clear need for better protections. The city must commit to establishing more rigorous oversight of animal cruelty cases, fostering public awareness, and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable. It is critical to demand systematic changes to confront and penalize those who engage in such behavior.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear Mayor Eric Adams,
The recent report by the ASPCA detailing the alarming rise in animal abuse cases in New York City is both shocking and distressing. With 2,783 reported instances of animal cruelty from 2013 to 2022, the overwhelming majority—2,271 cases—involved alleged neglect and mistreatment of dogs. The heartbreaking situation of nearly 50 puppies allegedly being kept in deplorable conditions exemplifies the urgent need for accountability for those who engage in such cruel acts.
The report also highlights the troubling reality of cat abuse, revealing that while 408 cases were reported, many instances may go unnoticed or undiscovered. Cases like that of Andre Robison, who was allegedly filmed kicking a cat, serve as gut-wrenching examples of the violence these vulnerable animals endure. The assertion from the ASPCA that cat abuse may be far more severe than currently recognized demands immediate action and acknowledgment from city leadership.
We implore you to take decisive steps to ensure that those responsible for animal cruelty face appropriate legal consequences. Strengthening protections and enforcement against these abhorrent acts is not just necessary but imperative for the community’s moral fabric. It is time for New York City to shine a light on this pervasive issue and hold accountable all those involved in animal abuse and neglect.
Sincerely,

Judges and Prosecutors ned to get off of their fat arses and start giving out proper sentences instead of of’pissant’ ones.
I mean, do these bastards hypnotise these bewigged fools or what?
As it seems most of the sentences passed on other animal torturing fucks are so mediocre that they must do. But moreso, maybe they are scared of the pieces of shit ‘perps’?
Let’s have some PROPER sentences dished out on these tossers instead of sending them to rehabilitation play schools!! Or just for ease, bonding the bastards out!
Judges, grow a pair of balls and give these pricks what they deserve!!
Then and ONLY then, will we start to see a decline in animal torture and murder!!
J.W.
Amen!
Animal abuse must be taken with utmost seriousness by the Law- not as if some lesser misdemeanour. Animal abusers inflict terrible suffering on animals and are likely to repeat this cruelty on human beings especially if they get lenient sentences for deliberate animal cruelty and neglect.
ITS VERY CLEAR ANIMAL ABUSE CAN ‘ NEVER ‘ BE TOLERATED IN SOCIETY NOR ANY ABUSE OF ANY KIND…FULL STOP!!
THOSE WHO DO THE CRIME MUST DO THE TIME!!!
ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!
WE DEFINITELY MUST HAVE TOUGHER PENALTIES PUT IN PLACE TO DETER ANY MORE ABUSE IN THE FUTURE!!
THESE LAWS NEED TO BE PASSED SWIFTY THROUGH OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM PRONTO!!!
My ass, if anything is ever gonna be done about these things
Rules are made, but never enforced and then the animals suffer pretty disgusting the great US of a
