Punish Rapper for Reportedly Keeping Baby Tiger in a Cage

Target: Greg Abbott, Governor of Texas

Goal: Penalize Trapboy Freddy for reportedly illegally housing a tiger cub.

Dallas resident and rapper Trapboy Freddy was arrested earlier this month on one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. At the rapper’s home, officers also reportedly seized a tiger cub that was found stuck in a cage. The tiger cub was taken to Dallas Animal Services and its fate is still unknown, as Dallas Animal Services have not yet decided what they will do with the wild animal.

Although owning a tiger—and any other “dangerous wild animal”—is prohibited in the city of Dallas, the rapper and his family are seemingly trying to get the tiger cub back. These beautiful creatures do not belong in cages—they are wild animals and should be treated as such.

Demand the state of Texas punish Trapboy Freddy for his alleged illegal possession of a tiger cub and award full custody of the cub to Dallas Animal Services.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Governor Abbott,

Earlier this August, rapper Trapboy Freddy of Texas was arrested. During the arrest, police reportedly stumbled upon a tiger cup kept in a cage at the rapper’s home in Dallas. The cub has since been surrendered to Dallas Animal Services, though its fate still remains unknown.

The rapper’s family has allegedly expressed interest in regaining custody of the cub, despite the fact that it is prohibited to even own tigers—and other “dangerous wild animals”—in the city of Dallas. Tigers are wild animals and should be treated as such. They belong outdoors, with room to roam and hunt, not in a cage isolated from their own species.

We are asking you, Mr. Abbott, to please penalize Trapboy Freddy to the full extent of the law for allegedly illegally owning a wild animal, and reward permanent custody of the cub to Dallas Animal Services. We must prosecute all people who illegally own these animals and show the public that wild animals are not to be kept as pets.

Sincerely,
