Success: Dog Allegedly Abused at Training Center Now Rescued and Happy

Target: Brian Middleton of the Fort Bend District Attorney’s office

Goal: Encourage the action taken by the DA’s office that made sure Mugshot the dog is now happy and healthy and receiving the care he deserves.

Mugshot the dog was allegedly abused at the TyCalK9 Training Center in an incident that was caught on video. This video soon went viral on social media and sparked major outrage from the public. It reportedly showed the man picking Mugshot up by the leash and aggressively slamming him onto the ground. The puppy was seemingly heard whimpering while trying to recover and get up from the slam and then apparently limped while standing up. This ForceChange petition brought attention to the alleged abuse that happened to Mugshot and demanded justice for him. An animal cruelty investigation is still underway in Fort Bend County.

After the outrage on social media and public demand of justice for the dog, a new video was released by the DA’s office. In it, Mugshot is seen running around in a field of grass and looking healthy. He is actively moving around and able to get the space, care,  and exercise he deserves. The DA’s office is thankfully still investigating the training facility TyCalK9. Sign below and thank them for showing that public that Mugshot is now receiving proper care and not still in the facility he was allegedly abused.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Brian Middleton,

After the disturbing video showing the alleged abuse of Mugshot the dog, we are happy to see him running around looking healthy again. Thank you for addressing the needs of the dog and making sure he receives accurate care. The new video is uplifting and has reassured many. Seeing Mugshot in an environment where he is able to run around is heartwarming. We also thank you for continuing the investigation into the alleged abuse that was happening at TyCalK9 training facility. This will give Mugshot the justice he deserves.

Sincerely,
