Goal: Don’t let Texas become a breeding ground for suffering lab animals.
As the Covid pandemic rages, China has stopped exporting laboratory monkeys to the United States. Instead of using this as an opportunity to stop animal cruelty in the name of science, the research company Envigo is trying to open a monkey breeding facility in Texas. This disgusting animal factory would breed 30,000 monkeys each year, who would live their lives in metal cages and endure unending torture until they succumb to the final needle.
Regardless of the scientific goal, people should not be exploiting another species for their own cruel purposes. Sign this petition to stop this breeding facility immediately, and end animal torture in medical labs.

Dear Governor Abbott,
You were recently voted the “best governor in the nation” and I am sure you do not hold that accomplishment lightly. Regardless, your state is about to become a breeding ground for mutilation, torture, and death. Envigo is planning on opening a facility to breed up to 30,000 monkeys a year to be used in scientific research.
I urge you not to let this happen. Animals should not be used for laboratory testing, and it is shameful that such a massive operation based on animal cruelty and exploitation is even being considered in the United States.
Do not let Texas become known as the state that encourages animal abuse. Please put an end to this breeding facility immediately.

Testing on any kind of animal should be made illegal all over the world. Animal testing is cruel, barbaric, torturous, and totally unnecessary. Any products or health issues that scientists want to test & learn more about, should be tested on people, not animals. Leave all animals alone.

Some time ago, experiments were done on prisoners who voluntarily submitted to reduce their sentences – why they no longer do so considering that it has been discovered and proven that what is good for an animal could be harmful or simply don’t work for humans. It does makes sense, doesn’t it?

Animals, whatever their breed, have as much right to a life which is not broken by evil experiments made by man in the name of science. Please do not allow these animals to be bred to be used for experiments – they are so close to humans in their DNA but that is not the point, they still feel pain, hunger, cold and do not understand what is going on, AND THEN THEY DIE.
This is utterly unacceptable,period. Animals should never be used for experiments! This is dark ages cruelty and it should be banned everywhere for the sake of animal wellbeing.
The other thing is that if we made products from natural ingredients instead of laboratory chemicals there would be no need for experimentation at all!

More torture? Now that China has stopped importing monkeys to the US America needs to replace the entire program. The program is not effective. There are other solutions. Our scientists should be working on alternative ways to achieve better results. Animals are not humans and can not give the correct biological outcomes. These poor animals receive no interaction with others of their kind, no human touch, no compassion or empathy. Even their cages are empty and void of anything to make them feel more comfortable and less afraid. The question remains … would anyone of us want to live in such a manner? No? Then don’t do it to animals.

What is incomprehensible to me is how someone can voluntary cause suffering to these poor animals and then watch them in pain. What sort of human does this. How do they sleep at night when they look into their eyes and see their pain and confusion. WHY WHY WHY???? SHAME ON YOU

“Scientists” are very clever people, you know – they are very good at inventing pointless “experiments” that inflict pain and suffering and abuse on animals, because (1) they are all psychopaths who LOVE to inflict pain and abuse on living beings (i.e. just 1 step away from being serial killers); (2) animals are ideal subjects for “experiments” because (unlike humans subjects) animals can’t/don’t fight back; and (3) the most important reason – “scientists” can get massive funding for their “experiments” (because their benefactors don’t have a clue about what the “experiments” are about (but it “looks bad” if they don’t contribute any money to them). So the unemployable (but VERY clever “scientists”) are able to manipulate big businesses and other corporations to continually fund their “experiments”. And (of course) because they are so clever at this manipulation, they NEVER have to get PROPER jobs (like the rest of us have to) because the money just keeps flowing into their pockets, while they indulge in their psychopathic abuse of defenseless animals. But let’s hope the Covid kills most of them.
