Goal: Don’t let Texas become a breeding ground for suffering lab animals.
As the Covid pandemic rages, China has stopped exporting laboratory monkeys to the United States. Instead of using this as an opportunity to stop animal cruelty in the name of science, the research company Envigo is trying to open a monkey breeding facility in Texas. This disgusting animal factory would breed 30,000 monkeys each year, who would live their lives in metal cages and endure unending torture until they succumb to the final needle.
Regardless of the scientific goal, people should not be exploiting another species for their own cruel purposes. Sign this petition to stop this breeding facility immediately, and end animal torture in medical labs.

Dear Governor Abbott,
You were recently voted the “best governor in the nation” and I am sure you do not hold that accomplishment lightly. Regardless, your state is about to become a breeding ground for mutilation, torture, and death. Envigo is planning on opening a facility to breed up to 30,000 monkeys a year to be used in scientific research.
I urge you not to let this happen. Animals should not be used for laboratory testing, and it is shameful that such a massive operation based on animal cruelty and exploitation is even being considered in the United States.
Do not let Texas become known as the state that encourages animal abuse. Please put an end to this breeding facility immediately.

They want to live, have friends, spend time outside, they DON’T WANT TO BE A SUBJECT OF EXPERIMENT !!! Stop do thisthey are our relatives!
No animal should be locked up in a lab and be tortured. There are way too many nasty people who think this is necessary, but science has come a long way. Having dozens of lab animals living miserable lives needs to stop permanently.
Test on the paedophiles. rapists.murderers . And animal abusers in jail. No need to test on animals in this day and age . Utterly henious and disturbing .

The Governor of Texas should reject Envigo from trying to open a monkey breeding facility. Envigo believes, as mentioned on their website, that the value of using animals in research is critical and essential for advancing our understanding of the body in health and disease and for developing new medicines and other compounds. Envigo is also proud to mention that they only use live animals in research if no other alternatives are available. Is this supposed to excuse Envigo from all the torture, suffering, and death of live monkeys or other animals? Keep in mind too that Envigo breeds thousands of animals to conduct their Evil experiments on. There are always other alternatives including Humans themselves who can get paid for research study. Atleast a human being has the ability to agree or decline being used in medical research studies. An animal does not have that ability. Therefore, using Monkeys or other Animals in research Labs is and has always been Evil acts against God.
I’m a Medical Technologist and I’ve worked in research labs, but I refuse to participate in research involving animals. As an animal lover, I feel that it’s cruel. We as humans, can refuse to participate in research. But animals don’t have a choice and are exploited over and over again and subjected to painful experiments that yield no meaningful results.
