Save River Wildlife From Agriculture Pollution

Target: Edwin Poots, Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs Minister of Ireland

Goal: Stop unethical agriculture enterprises from poisoning our rivers and waterways.

Thousands of fish have been killed in a river in Northern Ireland. The government has recently been notified of an incident that has caused extensive pollution to the Aughlish River. This river is home to a diverse ecosystem and is an important part of the local environment. The people of the area are very dedicated to the land and nature of the area which has been tainted by human negligence. The alleged culprit is an undisclosed agriculture operation. Samples have been collected from this source and are being analyzed to determine the cause of this disgusting pollution which has killed thousands of juvenile salmon and brown trout.

Sign this petition to urge the government to respond quickly and deal with the perpetrators swiftly and severely.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Minister Poots,

The polluting of the Aughlish River is a shameful and horrible act. Not only were thousands of fish killed in the incident, but the river is now tainted by toxins and chemicals. I  urge your administration to look carefully into this situation and respond with swift and decisive action.

The alleged perpetrator is an agricultural operation near the river. If this turns out to be the case, I also urge you to implement measures that will better control and regulate farm operations to keep such things from happening in the future.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
