Retired Service Dog Reportedly Thrown Through Window Deserves Justice

Target: San Bernardino County, California District Attorney Jason Anderson

Goal: Give prison sentence to previous offender who allegedly threw service dog through window.

Ruben Escobedo was arrested for allegedly throwing a former service dog, named Bugs, through a motor home window. He needs to receive a lengthy prison sentence if he is found guilty of hurting this unsuspecting animal.

Escobedo reportedly had been previously released under the Post Release Community Supervision program after being convicted of an earlier non-violent crime. Although a person is discharged when released under these conditions, their behavior is still monitored by a provided county agency. Thankfully, Bugs did not suffer any major injuries as a result of the reported incident. However, he now has a limp. It was determined that Bugs does not belong to Escobedo, and furthermore that the dog did not do anything to provoke the reported attack.

Sign this petition to demand that Escobedo be required to serve the maximum time in prison if it is found he committed this apparent act of animal cruelty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Anderson,

Authorities recently arrested Ruben Escobedo for reportedly throwing a retired service dog, named Bugs, through someone’s motor home window. Police indicated that Escobedo threw the dog through the window for no apparent reason. It is important that he be justly punished if he is found guilty to better ensure that other animals in the community will remain safe.

Escobedo reportedly had been released from prison for a prior offense because the U.S. Supreme Court required states to set approximately thirty thousand prisoners free, who had committed non-violent and lesser offensive crimes. However, he was still under the supervision of  authorities at the time of the reported incident. Although Bugs only developed a limp as a result of the alleged mistreatment, dogs are capable of suffering from P.T.S.D. (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) after they experience harsh abuse. Experts further claim that people who take out their anger on innocent animals usually move on to severely hurting or killing people. For these reasons, I demand you seek the longest prison sentence possible and that you further tell the courts that Escobedo should not be granted parole if it is found he purposely hurt this innocent animal.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. It makes me so angry when they say “the animal did not do anything to provoke the attack.” When in the world does an animal do anything to provoke an attack?! It’s such BS!! These people that abuse animals are scum bags period. Animals don’t do these things to their own. Enough already – eye for an eye!! Agree with another poster. Throw him off a cliff

It is an absolute embarrassment to true Justice when people are able to get released from prison for “lesser crimes” committed only to have these same people commit crimes when released. Another embarrassment to true Justice is a word many of us are familiar with called “personal recognizance”. Meaning someone who commits a crime is released without having to pay any bail. Many of these crimes are very serious. With all this leniency within the system of Law, it is no wonder criminals have the advantage of committing crimes over and over again without consequence. Ruben Escobedo is an example of that. To take a living being and throw them out of a moving car or out of a window is a serious crime. Let us hope that the true hands of Justice gives the punishment that Ruben Escobedo deserves.

Arrest the inbred moron, fine him, make him do community service and never allow him to be near, around or own any animal again, then deport the douchebag!

  4. This is so sad. Please prosecute the evil being, he has proven he is a danger to society, needs to be held accountable for his actions. Please do what is right.

  5. Just fuck this murderer!!!

  6. So Bugs dedicates his life to helping humans and is treated like this? No excuses, full court press on the penalties and convictions – end this insanity/madness.

My hope is that Bugs goes to a wonderful new home, and can live the remainder of his life in comfort and peace as he richly deserves and is due! more heroic and self sacrificing then most of us humans.

  7. What the f is with all these Mexican people causing harm or death to dogs… are they monsters … why don’t all you Mexicans or Spanish people (or others) who think a dog or cat is not worth anything and hurt or kill them just go JUMP OFF A FING CLIFF AND DIE !!! I think we should have a vigilante group in every state go and beat the living crap out of every animal and child abuser … to hell with sending them to prison to eat 3 meals a day and have a place to sleep just kill them all. I hope he goes to prison and gets beat to death. (also others not just lumping those two together) but the last two headlines I saw was Mexican men and a father who didn’t think it was a bad thing to do to club two innocent puppies because they do that stuff in Mexico !!! INSANE !!!!!

  8. Lynn Skilling says:

Sorry but people capable of this do not deserve to walk amongst us & be part of a civilised society.I’m all for second chances but throw his degenerate ass back in jail

  9. Throw him out a window about 30 stories high

  10. Nancy Chiodo says:

I vote for prison time then force this subhuman to donate to an animal rescue for life. Never allow him to be near animals or children again. These abusers are the Devil personified. Sterilization is a must so he can’t breed his evil. This is the only way to get this sick mentality out of the gene pool.

  11. NO PRISON HANG THIS SCUMBAG!!

  12. Red to put the maggot back in prison. He thought if he threw the dog out the window he would never get caught. Does the dude realize that the service dog is expensive to have. Y did he have the dog in the first place. Throw the book at him. give the maggot 25 years. Some prisoners will never reform.or convicts.

  13. Someone needs to step up and get justice for all these poor innocent animals! If you would give harsher punishments, I guarantee this would stop. It gets old seeing animals abused EVERY SINGLE DAY and all people get is a slap on the wrist and it continues! STOP ANIMAL ABUSE!!!!!!

  14. IF I COULD TORTURE, THROW THIS COCKSUCKER THROUGH A SEMI BOMBING 70+ DOWN THE FREEWAY, THEN RUN HIM OVER WITH THE FULL WEIGHT OF THE TRACTOR TRAILER, LEAVING HIM TO SADISTICALLY BLEED OUT ON THE FREEWAY, I WOULD GIVE MY RIGHT ARM!!! SADISTICALLY MURDERING THIS PIECE OF HUMAN FECES WOULD BE MY JOY!!! POPCORN AND THE FRONT ROW SEAT TO WATCH HIS TORTURE ANYONE??? 💪🏼🇺🇸 RENEE CARIGLIA

Maximum charges, hefty fines, long jail times. He already had his 2nd chance SO NO MORE. This kind of inhumanity will lead to more severe violenCE. AS DISTRICT ATTORNEY YOU HAVE THE POWER TO STOP Escobedo FROM ABUSING ANOTHER ANIMAL. PLEASE GIVE BUGS HIS JUSTICE.

CLEAN UP ONE CRIMINAL AT A TIME…PLEASE.

IF YOU DON’T DO YOUR JOB MORE VIOLENCE WILL FOLLOW….

  17. Take this Cowardly Bastard & dump him 500 miles in shark infested waters to be eaten alive. Then justice would be served!!

  18. This vile, repulsive, mentally deranged severe dog abusing scumbag must have the death penalty performed. A slow and agonising death is essential! I am ready, willing and able to help perform this procedure!

  19. I hope this low life sick coward is prosecuted for this cruelty and the inmates beat him to a pulp. This outrageous cruelty must be stopped.
