Dog Apparently Beaten With Hammer and Buried in Snow by Owner Deserves Justice

Target: Prosecuting Attorney Kenneth P. Cotter, St. Joseph County, Indiana
Goal: Investigate and prosecute man accused of beating dog with hammer and burying her in the snow.

A man reportedly beat his dog with a hammer and then buried her in the snow. Neighbors apparently witnessed the event and called South Bend police. When the police arrived, they reportedly saw the attack in progress and intervened on the dog’s behalf. The man was apparently pulled off his dog and the dog was dug out of the snow by the responding officers.

The man accused of the crime, John Hill, was arrested for Cruelty to an Animal and the dog was rushed to the local veterinarian, where sadly they were forced to euthanize her.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Prosecuting Attorney Kenneth P. Cotter,

An innocent dog was reportedly beaten with a hammer and buried in the snow by her owner. The man accused of this crime, John Hill, has been arrested and the case has been forwarded to your office.

Animal cruelty has no place in our society and I ask you to pursue this case to the fullest extent allowed under the law. We ask for justice on behalf of this poor innocent creature.

Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

Too bad owner was killed .

    What an example fir Indiana

  2. This POS deserves the same fate that he did to his dog. What a horrible human to beat her with a hammer. No animal deserves this treatment. Dogs are our companions; they trust us to feed, water and protect them. This freak deserves jail.

  3. Pamela Hengst says:

RIP beautiful dog. As for John Hill, that worthless coward should be punished the same way. I guess beating his sweet dog made him feel like a big man. He is sorry trash that must be eliminated from our earth. Rot in hell, cowardly scum!

  4. Pamela Kelly says:

Someone needs to beat the crap out of him n let him feel the horrific pain his dog had to suffer. Mentally deranged and ban him from ever owning another animal

    RIP SWEET BABY

  6. Whoops my hammer kept hitting this asswipe in the head. RIP sweet baby dog

  7. Instigation of the death penalty must be performed globally to all animal abusers. I am ready, willing and able to help perform this procedure on this vile, mentally deranged scumbag.

  8. This guy is a deranged sociopath. He is a threat to society it needs to be locked up for a very long time. Next time, it will be a kid he does this to. Please lock him up and keep society safe.

  9. Kat Gonzalez says:

MANDATORY PRISON AT LEAST 10 YEARS! I HOPE THE INMATES KILL HIM FOR THE ANIMAL ABUSE!!!!!!!!!

    • Give the bastard to me, slow with the hammer to each part of this piece of shit, if he passes out wake him up and keep starting over and over, don’t let him die keep him alive so I can keep up the hammer treatment

  10. I sincerely hope the judge will give him maximum punishment for what he did to his pet. No matter what his backstory is he should be punished as harshly as is allowed. People who can commit crimes like this are a hazard to our society. Act now judge or regret the impacts this sick individual creates later on to who knows who and how or how many.

  11. I am glad someone called the cops, but don’t understand why they would not intervene and stop that evil monster from hurting the sweet animal? People will say that is too dangerous or they may get hurt if they get involved. Listen – when will people get some bravery and strength and defend the weakest in our society? I would have intervened physically and tried to spare this innocent animal from having to endure any more unjustified pain and abuse. I would rather it be me that monster was trying to hurt because there would have been a better chance of that asshole getting some pain back. I would have used the hammer on him. He deserves to burn in hell.

  12. Patricia Williams says:

The police witnessed the attack, stopped it but didn’t throw his scummy ass in jail? Prosecute Prosecute Prosecute.. POS. Are there other pet lives in danger? Take them. NEVER allow this skuz around another innocent animal!

  13. Kenneth Cotter you need to do the right penalty for this POS!!!! It all starts with the justice system. Please give this POS the MAX PENALTY and never let him own another dog or animal. It’s been said and proven this sick good for nothing SOB start with animals…then move on to humans!!!!!

  14. Mayra Lazala-Stock says:

this POS deserves someone to the same.. He is a psycho whose next victim can be another human.. Throw him in jail, where he deserves to be….

  15. John Hill tortured and murdered this defenceless innocent a dog. Put this monster away for the longest time allowed, fine him and NEVER let this horrific abuser near another animal…EVEr.

  16. What is wrong with people!!!!

  17. I would write a comment about what that vile POS did to that sweet, innocent dog, but it very likely would not be posted.
Dogs & cats & other sweet family pets have no ill will towards the human families they live with. They just want to love & be loved. Unfortunately, they are naive enough to not know there are a**holes like the one who committed this crime in the world.
God bless the victim of this travesty!

  18. This person is a sick demon for doing that to a poor innocent animal, he should be prosecuted and jailed for murder!! there is no excuse in this world for anyone to hurt an animal to the extent he did to this poor dog!!!’ lock him up throw away the key or better yet do the same to him!!!!!!

  19. I think it only fitting that we bring back public hangings and impose them on animal abusers.
These sub humans who torture and abuse animals don’t deserve to live.

Beating a poor innocent dog. What a vile excuse for a human .
He needs to face the maximum penalty of the law. This guy is not right in the head. His next victim will most likely be a defenseless person. Punish him before something else happens.
