Goal: Punish woman accused of deadly shooting of neighbor’s donkey.
A neighborly dispute seemingly ended in tragedy for an innocent animal. An Indiana farm owner awoke to find one of her donkeys, Dolly, dead of an apparent gunshot wound. After several trying weeks, the bullet from this alleged shooting has reportedly been traced to a gun belonging to the farm owner’s next-door neighbor, Sharon Johns.
The suspect had apparently threatened the animals on the farm after an argument with Dolly’s caretaker over a fence. The day following the quarrel, Dolly was reportedly shot in a pasture, where another donkey stayed with her until she died. Dolly’s grief-stricken caretaker said the personable donkey was like family and remains much-missed. Johns has been charged with one count of animal cruelty and a felony count of torturing or mutilating an animal.

This HORRIBLE ABUSE needs to be punished to the FULLEST extent of the Law under The PACT ACT which President Trump signed into Law November 2019 which makes it a Federal Crime to abuse ANY animal and is punishable by imprisonment.
No one has the right to kill. Killing an animal to justify revenge is unacceptable. Humans don’t seem to learn what the Bible says, “Treat your neighbor as you would wish them to treat you.” A writer once said, “When you seek revenge, you dig two graves.” One is for the being you killed, the other is for you. Surely there must be a way to get angry with another without causing harm to something they love. I don’t know what the punishment will be but for all involved and all of us reading about this horrible experience, it must be a life lesson learned.
